GENEVA, Switzerland â Award-winning digital advertising network JuicyAds announced that it has âsuccessfully defended its brand and intellectual property rights in a recent domain dispute case ruled by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).â According to the announcement, the in the WIPO case in question, the panel from WIPO âordered the transfer of the domain name juicyads.blog to JuicyAds after determining that it was registered and used in bad faith by a third-party scammer based in Peru.â âThe decision underscores JuicyAds’ zero-tolerance stance against trademark infringement, abuse of its platform, fraudulent impersonation, and standards of traffic quality,â the company said in the announcement. âThe Respondent used the domain to mimic the JuicyAds platform, impersonate support channels, and promote association with JuicyAds for the purpose of misleading potential victims for profit,â the company added. âEvidence included unauthorized use of the JuicyAds trademark and logo, a fake campaign management area, and solicitation of payments to use the service. The Respondent had been previously terminated from the legitimate JuicyAds service for sending fraudulent traffic.â JuicyAds Founder Juicy Jay said the decision âis a strong reminder that we will pursue and take down any entity infringing on our intellectual property or attempting to mislead our clients and partners.â âOur clients rely on the integrity of our brand, and we are fully committed to protecting them from imposters and scams,â Juicy Jay added. Attorney Corey Silverstein, founder of Silverstein Legal, represented JuicyAds in the case. âThe evidence showcased such egregious use by the Respondent that it was a slam-dunk case,â Silverstein said. âThis wasn’t a borderline dispute; it was a blatant case of brand impersonation and fraud. The Respondent didn’t just register a confusingly similar domain; they actively used JuicyAds’ trademark, logo, and interface to deceive users, solicit payments, and undermine the integrity of the brand. The panel recognized the severity of the abuse and ruled decisively in JuicyAds’ favor.â In the announcement, JuicyAds added that the company has âmaintained a trusted reputation in the advertising industry since 2006, with trademark protection in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the European Union.â âThe WIPO panel found that the domain juicyads.blog was identical to the registered JUICYADS trademark and had been used to intentionally mislead users for profit using the brand’s reputation,â the company noted. JuicyAds said the company âencourages anyone who comes across suspicious communications or websites impersonating the brand to report them immediately.â For more information about JuicyAds and the services offered by the platform, go to JuicyAds.com. |
