Fresh Faces: Dani Synclair |
|
This feature appears in the May issue of AVN magazine. LOS ANGELESâOffice-receptionist-turned-performer Dani Synclair has a âyâ in her name âbecause I can. Itâs a different kind of sin.â She started performing in late 2022, near the end of COVID. âI was dating a guy who had a foot fetish, and I started working foot fetish events. At one of those events, I met a Mistress who owned a dungeon, and I started doing professional BDSM stuff, and then I was, like, âWhy not do more?â and I decided to jump into the industry. âIt wasnât much of a jump. Before this I was in The Lifestyleâswingersâand I always liked being watched. I just added a camera.â She likes âmeeting other creators and learning their journey.â âI love meeting people and learning what got them into the industry: Whatâs their favorite part of the industry? Iâm always learning things about people in this industry. Everybody starts for a different reason and itâs interesting how people decided to get into it. Did they fall into it? Was it something completely opposite of what they knew?â Synclair, who is represented by Ideal Image Models, went to her first AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in January. âI definitely didnât know what to expect, my agency told me what I needed to pack and be prepared to be busy. There was the booth and the after-parties and the networkingâand I had scheduled collaborations with other creators as well. I was staying in a rented model house off the Strip. They kept track of everybody.â Her main commercial scenes so far are two for Ghetto Gaggers and one as-yet-unreleased scene for Elegant Angel with Isiah Maxwell: âHeâs such a sweetheart. Absolutely love him.â She signed with Ideal Image after a frustrating time self-booking: âIt was so hard, trying to figure out what companies are good to reach out to. It was hard getting myself booked, which is why I donât have many scenes. I did a collaboration with Rome Major, and he was how I got introduced to Tee Reel and Ideal Image. Itâs better having an agent in my corner. Itâs a lot easier and safer when it comes to booking, because they do the background checks.â Her 5-foot-9 height makes her stand out: âI make it the first thing people read in my bio: Donât expect me to be short. There are some people Iâve done collabs with, who reached out to me. We set it up, and I meet them, and Iâm like, âWhy are you shorter than me?â I had to position myself lower. My hips werenât ready, I should have stretched. [Laughter] But relaxation is important, too. I like taking naps. A nap a day keeps the crazy at bay. If I donât get a nap, Iâm grumpy.â Sheâs looking forward to doing more commercial scenes. âI would like to pick a niche at some point. Iâm enjoying trying different things.â Photography by @kogafoto
