Fresh Faces: Freya Kennedy

LOS ANGELES—It all started with a silly post on social media for rising newcomer Freya Kennedy. The excitable performer tells AVN she was a college freshman a year ago when she “blew up on TikTok on accident.” “My agent found me off of TikTok one day,” Freya, who is represented by Hussie Models, explains. “So this fell into my lap but I always wanted to be a porn star when I was younger. I went and played college ball and thought it would never happen.” The athletic Kennedy is referring to soccer—she attended Columbia Basin in her native Washington on a full scholarship, capitalizing on her 17 years of experience playing the sport, including 12 years of competitive club soccer. But Freya pulled her quad twice, leaving her sidelined and unable to compete last year. “And I posted a video of me singing and then it just blew up,” she says. “People thought it was funny and all the comments were ‘you have an amazing body and pretty face’ and ‘you’re so cute.’” Kennedy, who turned 20 on January 30, was sitting on her bed in her dorm room wearing sweats and a skimpy top that showcased her cleavage when she made the impromptu TikTok that soon surged to a million-plus views. Freya reveals that the song was the catchy “Sl*t Him Out” by Baby Tate, whose rap includes lines such as “He thought he was a freak 'til he met me and now I'm finna show him what it's ‘bout.” Call it a foreshadowing of things to come. “I was always posting on a private account and that was like my first public account,” Freya adds. If it were not for that post, she most likely would not be in porn now. “That’s very accurate,” Kennedy admits. “Because I know for a fact that if I would’ve never posted that TikTok my agent would’ve never found me. He actually found me on a TikTok live. I used to go live all the time.” The day after her TikTok post, she created an OnlyFans “as a joke,” sharing a sexy photo of herself in short shorts. “I posted it on my Instagram story and when I posted it on my OnlyFans I made a thousand dollars in three hours. I said, ‘Look at this, that’s insane!’ And then I started taking it serious after that,” Kennedy recalls. But her dad found out about her OnlyFans, so she took a break from posting. A couple months later, Ryan Hussie, an agent for Hussie Models, discovered her. “As I was winding down on my day I hit TikTok to fall asleep and I stumbled across a live TikTok of Freya,” Ryan tells AVN. “I looked at her page, her Instagram and said to myself, yep, she’s a winner! The rest is history. “I am beyond proud of Freya and all that she has accomplished so far in her new career as an adult star. Meeting Freya her personality lights up any room. The only phone calls I have received after them working with her is, ‘Please, I need more bookings with her!’ So so proud of Freya!” Kennedy, who is from Spokane, studied social work, business and sociology at college but because she was enrolled during Covid, she says, “I never actually experienced college. I was in my room all the time on a computer.” Freya excelled in all aspects of soccer, playing defense her entire career until college, when she switched to offense. Her high school team won the East Regionals and advanced to the state tournament, falling in the semifinals. While playing the sport at a high level was her passion, she realized she wasn’t going to be the same after her injury. “I knew soccer wasn’t gonna be it forever,” says Freya, who continued her studies with online business courses last summer. But even though adult had been in the back of her mind for some time, she didn’t think it was an attainable pursuit. Then the industry found her. Kennedy says she was contacted by Ryan via Instagram DM at a time when she needed something positive to happen—her car was broken down and she was upset. She recalls at first she didn’t think his message was legit, but she saved it just in case. Then she decided to text him late one night and sent him her photos. Kennedy performed in her first scene on October 1st and then she didn’t do any shooting after that for a month. On November 3 she flew to Florida and has been shooting ever since, doing about 25 scenes so far at press time. “I love it,” Freya says. “It’s amazing and I think I’ll be doing it for a very long time.” She continues, “I love attention. I’m very much an attention whore. I love having sex and doing this job with the acting. I’ve met so many amazing people. I wake up and do exactly what I love every single day.” She says her favorite scene so far was with Johnny Love for BangBros. “That was very fun, I love Johnny, he’s so funny,” Freya says. “I still get butterflies. It’s the same thing I got before a soccer game because I want to perform really good.” She also likes her VR scenes, such as what she did for Wankz. “The virtual reality was fun because I do talk a lot,” Kennedy says with a laugh. Freya at the time of this interview had just completed a scene with Donnie Rock for Bang! in which she did some public flashing before the sex. She actually knew of Donnie before meeting him. “I knew Donnie’s face,” she jokes. “I’m bad with names. … I love him, it was super fun. Every shoot I’ve done with him he’s super sweet.” As she looks ahead, Kennedy says “I definitely want to work with Brazzers eventually.” “Porn star wise, I fan-girl over everybody. I fan-girled over Willow [Ryder], and then I met her,” she says, adding she used to be “obsessed” with Johnny Sins. “I feel like everybody was at one point,” she says.
