Wild Thing: Violet Summers on Creating, Collecting & Rapid Rise

A version of this feature appears in the January issue of AVN magazine. Click here for the digital edition. LOS ANGELES—Violet Summers just wanted to put on a show. She was feeling frisky at the mall in early November and was trying to go live on OnlyFans for some lewd acts in the dressing room. “And I was just having the worst technical difficulties,” Summers recalls. “And all day it was just ‘lost connection’ and people would pay to get in but they were like, ‘It’s OK Violet, we love you.’ “And I was just like, ‘Oh my gosh, I have the best fanbase ever.’ “Because who else can have these kinds of problems in their job and not have to be like, ‘Oh, I’m gonna get fired.’ I feel very lucky and I would not be anywhere without them. There’s guys that have stuck around since Day 1.” For good reason. Violet’s army of Day 1s remember how she was the same mischievous girl who liked posting nudes and then took a cross-country road trip that changed everything. Now more than four years later, Summers has established herself as one of the top independent content creators in adult entertainment. She earned her first AVN Award nomination—in the Fan-Voted category Favorite Creator Site Star—for the 40th annual ceremony on January 7 in Las Vegas. Summers also was one of the evening’s first awards presenters at the Resorts World theatre, leading off the show in a stunning evening gown with Kylie Rocket and Ryan Reid. “When I turned 18 I was hanging out with a bunch of older guys around town and we would just do pictures and all that and I started posting some of them on Reddit,” Violet explains. “And they would surprisingly blow up. And I decided one day I wanted to go on the road and just kind of take pictures while I was on the road.” An avid sports fan, the native of Belton, Texas, who moved to Scottsdale, Ariz., when she was 18, went to baseball stadiums and monuments as she traversed the U.S.—and she flashed in front of them. “And it really drew people’s attention,” Violet says. “And at the time I went from Texas to L.A., across to New York and finally by the time I was in New York City I got contacted by a management company called Nudiez.” Nudiez, a private content-sharing platform, noticed what Summers was up to—and they loved it. “And ever since then I’ve been with them,” Violet says. “And they’ve really taken care of me. Before when I was on the road and things just started going faster and I was on my own it was just really a lot to manage because Snapchat would get deleted. “That was my main thing where I was making money. It was Snapchat at first—and Snapchat would get deleted every week. Instagram would get deleted every week. So having [Nudiez] really changed everything.” Summers says Nudiez is exclusive platform comprised of only about 10 girls. “It’s only the girls on our team,” she says. “We try to get it out on our own platform first before OnlyFans. “I think OnlyFans has kind of surpassed us in what we’ve done with Nudiez. I’m really proud of it but I just think that OnlyFans has made it easy to post and make the most money and get the most traffic. “I’m using OnlyFans the most now but I’m always going to be a Nudiez girl though. We’re all kind of like a brand. So we’re all Nudiez Girls. But we’re definitely using the platform OnlyFans the most, especially because you can go live on there.” To say that Summers made a smooth transition from Nudiez to OnlyFans would be an understatement. “Whenever I was only doing Nudiez, I was making a lot every single week,”  Violet admits. “I was making like six figures a month just from Nudiez.” Then she started posting on OnlyFans in January 2021. "That’s whenever my Nudiez started going down. But I was starting to make six figures a month on OnlyFans,” Violet continues. “… I’m doing really well on it. As long as you just stay consistent and be engaging, be real, I think it’s pretty easy to do good on it.” Being engaging comes naturally for Summers, who used to work at Sonic as a carhop and turned 23 on November 28. “If you were to go to my OnlyFans I think you’d be very impressed with the quality of nudes and the quality of video because I really work hard to get my team to take really good pictures and creatively record me,” Violet says. “I like to do strip-teasings. Slow motion, all that kind of stuff. I think it’s just like really hot. And I think a lot of people like it, too.” She specializes in solo content with an occasional girl/girl and boy/girl scene. “But it’s mainly me,” Violet continues. “It’s just like who I am. I’m pleasuring myself every single day. Not everyday do I post but I do pleasure myself on the regular and it’s me sharing with you guys. “And if I get a guy then I’m going to share that with ya’ll, too. It’s very much spontaneous, every once in a while.” Known to go live and just dance around and be a goofball, the bubbly spinner says fans who may want to learn more about her will find out quick that she doesn’t take herself too seriously. “It’s not like I’m trying to be super sexy all the time,” Violet says. “I think sometimes you can try too hard and it just comes off disingenuous. Also I like to travel. I like to go and show off new things that I’m seeing, go to little towns. I just like to explore and I’m OK with learning new things. “And I think that’s exciting to watch. If I were a viewer I’d be like, 'Oh, what is she gonna do today?’” Summers tells AVN she’s done two boy/girl anal shows in her career. “One of them it was actually my sister’s ex-boyfriend and he agreed to take my anal virginity, so that was really fun for me,” Violet says. “And then I think it was like two years later I did another boy/girl anal show and that’s whenever I started posting on OnlyFans. And I think that kind of got my OnlyFans going really well. “And I’ve been planning, I’ve been seeing if I can get anyone else to do another anal show with me because I’m kind of craving it. “I’ve done a few boy/girl fuck shows. I like to give blowjobs a lot, so you’ll see that quite often and yeah the rest is just trying to fit a big dildo in me or practicing my blowjob skills on a dildo.” She especially loves “public play.” “I love flashing in public. That’s kind of how I got started, going around the country and going to all those cool places,” Violet says. “I went to Mt. Rushmore whenever I was 18 and I just flashed my pussy in front of that. And that was really fun for me. Because like who else does that?” Summers’ freewheeling approach appears to be resonating with fans—at press time she had amassed 13.7 million followers on Instagram, surpassed 1M on Twitter and 445,600 on TikTok. “I don’t really pay attention to the numbers because when you look at them, I mean it’s not like 13 million people are subscribed to my OnlyFans or anything, or that 13 million people come up to me in public,” Violet says. “It’s not real, honestly. I try to compartmentalize it so that I don’t feel like, ‘Oh my gosh, I deserve this’ or something. “It’s something I have to work for every day and it can all be gone tomorrow—like my account could be gone tomorrow and I’ll have to figure that out because they’re always taking down accounts. “Thank god they haven’t really messed with me lately, but yeah, you just never know. You can’t really put a lot of worth into that, I don’t think.” Summers attended the 2020 AVN Adult Entertainment with Penthouse, where she did a vlog for the iconic magazine. A few months later in April 2020, she was featured as Penthouse Pet of the Month. “That was one of my coolest moments I’d say,” Violet says. “To be in a magazine, to do that kind of photoshoot. All my photoshoots are very social media-driven. They kind of showed me how to do magazine shots. “I was biting my lip a lot in the photoshoot and they were like, ‘Don’t do that.’ And I’m always biting my lip in my Instagram pictures. So it was different. And then I’m wearing sneakers all the time. And they wanted me in heels. “But it was cool to fit the Penthouse brand for a few days.” *** Summers attended the University of Phoenix for about three months. “And I was like I don’t know why I’m doing this, so I just kind of dropped out,” she says. “And then I started taking Arizona Actors Academy and I did that for two years.” Violet “loved every minute” of her time at the Actors Academy. “It helped me grow a lot when I work on my Violet character and just kind of get out of my shell,” she tells AVN. “I did improv and acting and we would work on monologues. We would improv in The Harold style. “And it just helped me learn a lot about myself and acting.” Violet, who recalls wanting to be a USC Song Girl when she was younger in addition to having a dream of being a movie producer or a journalist, says she writes every morning in her journal. “I’m kind of working towards getting to write a script or something that I can put out there and maybe perform in myself,” she says. “So I think that’s the direction I would want to go because I’m already an actor, producer and director in what I do now. So why couldn’t I just flip that over to movies or short films…” Summers says her first job as Sonic carhop during her sophomore year of high school in Texas lasted about four months. “And I loved it. I would get really good tips,” Violet says. “This older guy would come and give me like $40 all the time. It was great. “And then I was a party host at a bowling alley my junior and senior years. And those were all the jobs I’ve ever had.”When Summers isn’t working on her content, she pursues another passion—collecting.  She has collections of sneakers, basketball cards and handbags. “I love just hitting up all the sneaker stores around the country and connecting with those guys,” she says. “I love the sneaker community as well. They are very welcoming and tight. I collect handbags a little bit. “But they’re so expensive I kind of haven’t done that in a while. I have about 28 handbags, like designer handbags and I love every single one of them. But a couple years ago I also started collecting basketball cards. I do have a few baseball cards, but mainly basketball cards.” Summers at press time had about $100,000 in basketball cards. “I love to get the rookies as soon as I can,” Violet continues. “I have a lot of these Ja Morant cards—with Yung Dolph. He passed away in November of [2021]. And there’s this photo right before he passed away of Ja Morant and Yung Dolph is behind him in the front row. “And so I have 63 of those cards because I’m trying to get them all… They’ve been going up in value. They’re about $500 right now. But can you just imagine a few years from now.” Summers grew up as a Houston Astros fan and enjoyed their latest run to a World Series title. “My parents took us to all the Astros games when I was younger and my whole family loves them,” Violet says. “So I’m naturally a baseball fan but I fell in love with basketball a few years ago. And I was like a really big [Phoenix] Suns fan. “I never watched it before, but ever since I moved to Phoenix I would go to games here and there with friends. Then finally [in 2021] I got floor seats, like season tickets. And it changed everything.” Violet was going to renew her Suns season seats before she decided to move back to Texas. “I might get them [in 2023] whenever I’m back there a little more,” she says. Violet says her favorite Suns player at the moment is forward Cam Johnson. “He’s just really up-and-coming,” she notes. “He’s a hard worker. I just really love him. “I’ll even like message them all the time after a game and be like ‘good job’ and try to get their attention. Some of them will message me back and be like, ‘Thanks.’ It’s really cool because we’re all kind of in that Phoenix community.” Summers says creating content has become something she loves and will continue doing for the foreseeable future. “That’s something that I just find a lot of fulfillment in,” Violet says. “I think as I get older I want to tone it down a bit probably. Like not in the sexual vibe but just in the way I want to portray myself I guess. “I want to be more mature as I get older and be able to transform myself gracefully into that. I also want to step into other things. Like real estate, which I’ve already been doing.” She owns a few houses in Texas and another in Scottsdale, Ariz. “Oh, I’m about to be Airbnb’ing my house in Scottsdale, so I’ve been going back and forth to kind of set that up and design it and everything,” she says. “I think real estate and interior design is also something I’m very passionate about. “It’s not that I don’t want to be making content forever because I do. I just know that I’m going to have to step out into other things.” Photography courtesy of Violet Summers and @KogaFoto
