Scarlett Sage Returns to B/G Performing

LOS ANGELES—Call it a comeback if you like, but what Scarlett Sage is embarking on also could be called a rediscovery. She returned to performing last month after a one-year hiatus—and this time she’s doing boy/girl sex scenes for the first time in more than five-and-a-half years. “I’m definitely excited,” Sage tells AVN. “I love being on set, it’s just chill. I’ve been on really good sets lately and I’m very happy about that.” Sage continues, “I’m going at my pace and just going to keep it like that. I want my brand to be authentically me and what I like sexually.” The native of Virginia Beach, Va., made her adult industry debut six years ago when she was 18, establishing herself as one of the industry’s most versatile all-girl performers after briefly doing boy/girl early in her career. She made the decision to switch her focus to girl/girl only for health reasons as she was still learning about herself sexually. “It really was me listening to my body,” Scarlett explains. “I wanted to be professional and I wanted to go on set and deliver scenes, but my body couldn’t deliver what I wanted to do mentally. “I wanted to create a brand for myself and if my body wasn’t allowing me to do it with boy/girl, I wanted to do it in some form of way. This industry really allowed me to explore my sexuality. “I’ve grown up in this industry—going from 18 to 25 is a big difference. I’ve very much grown up in front of the camera sexually.” And now after an extended break in which she went back to school to get her esthetician’s license, Sage tells AVN the timing was perfect to her to re-explore another side of her performing repertoire. “Getting back in has been awesome,” she says. “I’m realizing and rediscovering that part of my life that I’m able to not only be on set being professional and on point, but now my body is actually physically on the same page as I am mentally. That was really cool to discover this go round.” Now almost 180 credits later, the Motley Models star knows exactly what she wants on and off the set and is not afraid to say it. “I have figured out what I like and what I don’t like and how to turn myself on and get myself prepared for the scenes,” Sage says. “I’m in tune with my body and I’m more vocal about what I need in my scenes to be my best self.” Sage at press time in the past month had done 11 scenes, including multiple outings with Ryan Driller for MissaX, where she has long been a go-to girl. She also squared off with Mick Blue for Evil Angel; John Strong for SexLikeReal; and Danny Mountain for Spizoo. The first boy/girl scene of her comeback has yet to be released. “I’m still waiting,” Scarlett says with a laugh. “All my fans are still waiting… It will probably be SexLikeReal, which is a VR scene.” She returned to the classroom in March, graduating in July with her sights set on the beauty business in addition to her adult endeavors. “I plan on doing both,” Scarlett says. “I love the esthetician world. It’s also very interesting to me. It’s relaxing, so I definitely want to do both.” Even though Sage enjoyed the time away, she says there was never a moment when she thought she wouldn’t be back on set. “I love sex work,” Sage says. “I have so much respect for this industry and the people in it. I’ve gone through it myself—the isolation and the judgement that you feel when you’re in this industry. Once you go through it together, in a way you understand each other deeper than most.” Sage says in 2023 she wants to do scenes in which she can showcase both her acting abilities and her gonzo performing prowess. “I want to do the scenes that allow me to show what kind of performer I can be,” she says, adding that she loves “crazy dirty talk” when the scene allows for it. “I want to be able to let go and let loose.” While there are no plans in place yet, that also includes the possibility of an anal encounter down the road, she says. “I’m always going to stay authentic,” Sage says. “I’ve toyed with the idea of anal, but I want to make sure that’s it’s perfect. I’m a perfectionist. “I want it to be everything that I could ask for. I just want to enjoy this with boy/girl and get back into the swing of things and meet amazing people in the industry. I’ll know when I’m ready. I’ll let myself take me on that journey. “I’m not going to go full force too quickly.
