Fresh Faces: Xxlayna Marie

LOS ANGELES — When Xxlayna Marie decided to get into the adult industry she asked the universe for a sign. “Because I was nervous,” Xxlayna admits. “I was hesitant. This is totally new to me. “But the signs came that I asked for. And it’s been nothing but up from there.” Radiating positive energy wherever she goes, Xxlayna Marie has turned into must-see TV since making her porn debut in April 2021, becoming one of Hussie Models’ fastest rising stars. The dreamy 22-year-old from Oregon—who pronounces her name ‘Yuh-Layna’—at press time was nearing 100 scenes since her first outing for NetVideoGirls with Tyler D. in LA. It was right after that when she made her initial business trip to Florida, where she stayed until June 2021, making the rounds with companies such as BangBros and HussiePass. Now her wide-ranging list of credits includes performances for Darkko TV, Jules Jordan Video, Nympho, Reality Kings, Mofos, Hard X and Blacked.com—among numerous others. "I never thought I would be here in the position I am today,” Marie, a 2023 AVN Awards nominee for Best New Starlet, tells AVN. “But I’m beyond thankful and I believed I could, so I’m here.” Xxlayna, who also has three sex scene nominations, at press time received word she was selected as an official Trophy Girl for the 40th anniversary AVN Awards ceremony on January 7 in Las Vegas. “It’s a dream come true,” Xxlayna says. “I had it in my heart and in my mind I wanted to do it this year. To be able to have this opportunity is mind blowing to me. I cannot believe it’s actually happening.” Xxlayna reveals she has become much more in tune with spirituality in the past year-and-a-half, embracing the process and trusting her instincts to guide her. “It’s kind of hard to describe it,” Marie says. “I don’t really know how to pinpoint it and express it to other people besides explaining how I’ve gotten here today and what I do daily to trust and believe that things are falling into existence for me.” Xxlayna has been pleasantly surprised with how many people she has connected with who have an appreciation for her sensibilities. “Before I got into the industry I was opening up to spirituality and I was like, I really just hope and cross my fingers that I’ll cross paths with somebody that will understand me,” she says. “And ever since I’ve gotten into the industry almost every single person I cross paths with understands in some form of way. “And I think that’s so crazy and beautiful. But it also makes me believe and think that we are all somewhat following our true life path.” She says her first-ever scene also was notable because of the date. “It was another little bit of a thing for me because my sobriety date is November 5th and then I shot my first scene on April 5th,” Xxlayna explains, adding she has abstained from alcohol for two years. “And so I was like OK, there’s some 5’s in there. Which then 32 is another significant number to me, which it evens up to 5. “So I recently discovered that 432 is a prime manifestation number and I didn’t know that… My mind was really small before I got into the industry. “I didn’t ever think a lot outside of the box because I honestly just assumed it was kind of a tease in a way.” She points to another instance when she envisioned her dream home and then went on Google “and I typed in mansions and the forest, modern.” “And the very first house that pops up is everything that I could imagine and dream of. And it just so happened to be in Oregon,” Xxlayna recalls. “Well as I’m going through the pictures, the address on the house is ‘432.’ “And so I decided to finally look up what that number means and it is like a prime manifestation number, which I was blown away by. So I was so excited that I made a little YouTube video about it and showed everyone on YouTube.” Xxlayna in September 2020 started her OnlyFans, building a decent following just from word of mouth in her hometown. Then she started beefing up her Instagram before creating her Twitter account in December 2020. “A couple weeks later Hussie found my stuff on Twitter and reached out to me and was like, ‘Hey, we would love to offer you a position on our roster,’” Xxlayna says. She signed her first contract with Hussie on February 14, 2021, but she soon had second thoughts about making the jump. So she “resigned.” However about a week-and-a-half later—after Hussie Models owner Riley Reynolds and agent Ryan Hussie both reached out to discuss her concerns—she decided she was ready to move forward and signed with the Florida-based agency again. Xxlayna reveals that one of the most high-profile scenes of her career so far was not on her calendar. But the timing of her Blacked debut could not have been better. “I was like blown away that it happened because I was in Arizona and I had one shoot in LA that I was flying back for,” Xxlayna says. “And it ended up getting canceled and so I flew back to LA for no reason.” It turns out Blacked had a cancellation, too, and Xxlayna was their first call. “Because a couple days before that I had just had my meet-and-greet with them,” she says. “So I got on set and it was amazing. Like tears were in the back of my eyes the whole entire time because that’s everything that I’ve been looking forward to and being able to shoot with them and just knowing that I made it this far, I don’t know, it was a really big deal for me.” What made that day in the Hollywood Hills even better was that she got to work with reigning AVN Best Male Newcomer Anton Harden, who now is a 2023 nominee for AVN Male Performer of the Year. “He’s so sweet,” Xxlayna says. “I’m very glad that he’s the first person that I got to work with [for Vixen Media Group]. And not only that, but everybody who’s been asking on Twitter for me to shoot with so-and-so, they all say ‘Anton.’ So when I got on set I was like, ‘This is what the fans want! This is what they want!’ It was a great shoot.” The VMG contract stud Anton Harden from Charlotte, N.C., by way of Atlanta agrees. “It was really good,” Anton tells AVN. “Xxlayna was cute, she’s a really pretty girl and I had seen her around… If she was nervous, it didn’t show. She handled it well. “When I came in they were taking the [pretty-girl photos] and she had this red lingerie and this see-through red pullover on and she looked bomb—she looked super hot.” Harden continues, “Then once I started talking to her I thought she just had a good head on her shoulders.” AVN Hall of Fame director Derek Dozer remembers that day well, too. “She was actually a last-minute replacement for a girl who had canceled literally 30 minutes before call time,” Dozer tells AVN. “And I’ve never been so happy with a last-second replacement ever. She was so nice, took direction perfectly and has supermodel looks to boot. “And I fell in love with how passionate she fucks, which is a big ‘yes’ for me in terms of how I like my actors to perform on camera. You could tell instantly that she was happy to be here on set. I told [Mike Moz] who’s head of casting that this girl is winner and should be on all our sites for sure!” Marie also impressed when shooting for Jules Jordan, who did the honors himself and also directed her with the heavy-packing Dredd. “It was an amazing experience and I love shooting with Jules,” Xxlayna says. “And now that I’m like more comfortable and looking at it from another point of view. I know once again that I can do anything. Because we all look at things like, ‘Oh, that’s so scary, that’s so big.’ And then like you get through it and you’re like, ‘Wow, I can do it.’ “And so like stepping into those unknown moments are always my favorite. Because I’m like, what’s next after this?” If Dredd has anything to say about it, maybe it’s Round 2. Their first meeting has been nominated for the Best Male/Female Sex Scene. “As far as Xxlayna goes, whoa,” Dredd tells AVN. “She’s great. That day she was not nervous or apprehensive in any way. She was beyond ready for that shoot. She performed like a seasoned vet. She’s definitely a natural in the porn industry and such a sweetheart to boot.” Xxlayna Marie drove a forklift at a Lowe’s Distribution Center prior to making her adult industry debut, stocking large shipment boxes during 12-hour days. “Most of them were like team lifts or I would just spend all day loading and re-loading trailers and driving around the forklift, putting stuff up on the shelves and all that fun stuff,” Xxlayna says. “I honestly loved it. I got to stack the biggest shelves that you see on top of each other in stores—like three stacks high. Oh my gosh, I still miss it.” Before she worked at Lowe’s she was a manager at a KFC/A&W restaurant; her first job was at Burgerville, but she had to leave due to a lingering hand injury that she suffered in a car accident two months before she started there. "So then I went back to work and I just applied [at KFC] and within a couple of weeks they were like, ‘We want to train you to be a shift supervisor.’ I was like, OK, why not? OK, I’ll train all these younger teenagers that aren’t much younger than me, let’s do it,’” Xxlayna recalls. “I had a phenomenal time. I miss the customer service so much because even when rude people come in you just kind of kill ’em with kindness. They’re just a little grumpy because they’re hungry probably. And it’s so much fun. I loved the management part. “Honestly in the mornings on Monday’s and Friday’s we had shipment and so I would have to get there really early and put away all of our shipment. Going into the freezer section and bundling up in a jacket ready to stack all of that stuff was like my workout for the week. And it was my favorite, I looked forward to it.” She would even open the store and close it. But after a while she realized the pay wasn’t enough for all the work. “We were so short-staffed to the point where there were multiple occasions where I was literally running kitchen and drive-thru and we had to close the lobby because there weren’t enough employees,” Xxlayna says. “It just got super crazy, so I was like I gotta move on to something else. So I left.” Xxlayna says she could walk all the way across the small town where she was born in an hour. “And I did all the time to get back and forth to work at KFC,” she says. “When I couldn’t, I would ride the bus and walk to the bus and ride the bus back and forth.” One of Xxlayna’s first big accolades was being crowned Cherry of the Month by CherryPimps in March of this year. “That was crazy to me. I was so mind-blown. Just being on that set it brings like tears to my eyes thinking about it,” she says. “I was so shocked and so astounded because I hadn’t been in the industry for very long. “And so for them to acknowledge me in the way that they did and the things that they wrote about me was just so mind-blowing. And I will admit up until very recently I’ve had a hard time seeing in myself what others see in me.” This month she was named NubilesPorn.com's Flavor of the Month, while also receiving nominations for Best Oral Sex Scene with Jonni Darkko for her performance in Throat Fucks 7; and Best Three-Way Sex Scene for her throw-down with Danny Steele and Brian Omally on HussiePass. She points to her shoots with Owen Gray, whom she knew about before her porn career started, and Mike Adriano as some of her favorite scenes so far, too.  “I don’t know what it is, but I love working with Mike Adriano,” she says. “I think because we can get all sorts of messy and dirty, but it’s such a professional set that I don’t feel grossed out. … Mike Adriano sets are absolutely amazing.” Hussie Models owner Riley Reynolds sees many more career milestones coming for Xxlayna. “What can I say about Xxlayna?” Reynolds tells AVN. “Her hard work and humble attitude set her apart from many performers. From day one, I saw something special and told her she will become a big name. She is one of those talents that you can just sense is going to do something big, and we're so proud to be part of her journey! “Studios adore shooting with her, it's obvious through the results and the fan response and quick texts to book her at her next availability. “We can't wait to see what's next for both her and us as her agency!” As Xxlayna considers her future, she says her perspective has changed for the better. “When I first started I was looking at it as how far can I make it… I didn’t think that I would make it very far at all,” Marie tells AVN. “And so now my perspective is I would love to be able to move up in the industry, even if that goes along with maybe possibly directing someday. “I would absolutely love to spread my wings and do whatever it is. I find it very fascinating to be behind the camera and on set. I also know how being on set can sometimes be uncomfortable. And sometimes people don’t have the best experiences. “And I would love to be able to just be on set even, to raise the energy, to have people have a better time and to know that it is fun but we are also performing this as a job. “Eventually I would honestly very much like to be behind the camera as well.” When she isn’t working, she loves gardening and cooking. “I love plants,” Xxlayna says. “I love pretty much all of that stuff and then combining it together. I think eventually I would love to have an apothecary, just be able to use all of my own herbs, all my own foods, to create medicinal stuff like shampoos and oils…” Marie also enjoys camping, fishing, riding dirt bikes and “all of that country stuff.” “That’s all what I grew up doing,” she says. “And I can’t do a whole lot of it now because I honestly do work a lot. But those are my hobbies and that’s why I want to live in Florida, so I can separate the two a little bit.” She says something she likes cooking is Kahlua Beef. “That’s one of my favorite dishes, but so is teriyaki chicken over rice.
