Pineapple Support to Host Support Group Exploring Complex PTSD

LOS ANGELES — Pineapple Support, the adult industry’s leading mental health nonprofit, will host a free, online support group focusing on complex PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder). The six-week support group, “Complex PTSD: Exploring and Understanding Attachment Trauma” will be led by Pineapple therapist Alex Zoloto and will begin on Monday, November 7th at 7 p.m. ET. “If you struggle to fit in, feel hopeless or lonely, grapple with relationships, or engage in harmful or risky behaviors, this group may be for you,” says Pineapple therapist Alex Zoloto. “The group will explore the origins of complex PTSD and will help to guide participants on where to go next. We’ll help you to implement the skills to begin coping and healing.” Pineapple Support was founded by British performer Leya Tanit in 2018, after a string of losses in the adult industry from depression and other mental illnesses. The organization, which is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in the United States, has so far connected over 8,000 adult performers to mental health services, including free and low-cost, therapy, counseling, and emotional support. “In this six-week group, we’ll explore complex PTSD and help you to understand what it is and how it differs from more traditional definitions of PTSD,” says Tanit. "Alex has helped many people that have struggled with trauma to regain hope and become the best version of themselves. He will use a trauma-focused approach to help you get to know yourself again—or maybe even for the first time.” Sessions will last for around 1.5 hours and will take place online each Monday at the same time until December 12th.
