Blake Blossom Toplines Finale of Axel Braun's ‘Spideypool XXX'

LOS ANGELES — Axel Braun on Friday announced that the finale of his latest superhero endeavor for the Wicked Comix imprint, Spideypool XXX: An Axel Braun Parody, is now available on Wicked.com.The all-new production marks the 10-time AVN Best Parody winner Braun’s first parody since helming last year’s Black Widow XXX, recipient of AVN’s first Mark Stone Award for Outstanding Comedy, among many other trophies. The movie’s uproarious conclusion not only resolves the ‘bromance’ between Spider-Man (Tyler Cruise) and Deadpool (Gamma exclusive performer Seth Gamble), but culminates with a tryst pairing Cruise’s web-slinging superhero with reigning AVN Best New Starlet Blake Blossom. The blonde beauty is portraying Gwen Stacy a.k.a. Spider-Gwen, a heroine from an alternate Marvel timeline where she was bitten by a radioactive spider rather than Peter Parker, an event which inspires her to pursue a masked vigilante career of her own.“Being cast as Gwen Stacy has been the highlight of my career!,” said Blossom. “I was so excited to be brought onto the project and could not wait to get to my first fitting. Needless to say, I am super grateful to have been a part of this awesome project and I hope Axel has something in store for my character in the future!”Gwen Stacy is a character near and dear to the director's heart, and one whom he initially brought to the screen more than a decade ago in the classic Spider-Man XXX: A Porn Parody, where she was portrayed by Ash Hollywood. But while the mainstream contingent of the Marvel Comics Universe has seen Bryce Dallas Howard portray Gwen in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3, and Emma Stone assumed the role in The Amazing Spider-Man films with Andrew Garfield, Spideypool XXX marks the first time Spider-Gwen has ever been depicted in a live-action film. Prior to the release of Braun’s project on wicked.com, Spider-Gwen's movie appearances have been limited to the animated Spider-Verse series, where the character has been voiced by Hailee Steinfeld.   “It was very important for me to cast the right Gwen,” said Braun. “I needed somebody who had an equal mix of innocence, sexuality, and badassery, and Blake was the perfect embodiment of all those qualities. It was my first time working with her, and before I cast her I gave her the same speech I give everybody else: ‘Look, this is not for everybody. It’s gonna be long hours on set, tons of costume fittings, and as many takes as I need to make this perfect. In return, I promise you I will make you look fantastic and you’ll have a movie that you will be proud of.’ She answered ‘I’m in, whatever it takes’, and she most definitely was. Saying that I was impressed with her would be a gross understatement…she is an absolute rockstar, and she went above and beyond for me, which means you probably haven’t seen the last of Spider-Gwen.”Regarding Spideypool XXX's comic quotient, Braun and Seth Gamble are giving audiences a far more sarcastic, motor-mouthed, and sexually adventurous Deadpool than the one portrayed by Ryan Reynolds in the MCU. The director credits his frequent collaborator and longtime friend with giving the character "bigger, wilder, and more extravagant dimensions than ever before," organically expressing himself through his suit to deliver a full-bodied performance as the sarcastic and vengeful mercenary. “I’m so proud of what we’ve all accomplished with this movie!” said Gamble. “The experience was amazing, and I knew right out the gate we were going to create something that would have the comic fans overjoyed and excited.  It is by far the funniest film I’ve ever had the honor of being a part of and there’s no doubt that I have to thank Axel Braun for this.
