Industry Veterans Form New Colorado-Based Studio

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Industry veterans Nickey Huntsman, Lily Craven, Jim Steele and Don Juan DeMarko have joined together to create Rocking the Rockeys Media or RTR Media, a new studio that derives its name from the Rocky mountains and has an aim of "bringing back the art of cinematography and storytelling to feature films, parodies and individual scenes," according to a company announcement.“Our goal is to bring paid, professional, high quality adult photo and video shoots to Colorado," Huntsman said, adding that Colorado is ideal as a production location. “There are so many in the adult and mainstream field that live here, so we want to utilize the resources at our disposal to hire locally and bring work to Colorado locals who already do film, photography and perform.”DeMarko, whose résumé includes adult and mainstream journalism, agreed: “We’ve got the talent, production and distribution capabilities right here in our own backyard. There are tons of industry performers and production professionals living in and around Denver and Colorado Springs. Sure, L.A. and Vegas are great, but why should they have to travel to work? The answer is they shouldn’t, it’s all right here!”Steele, another industry writer, said the new studio is dedicated to high quality productions with top performers. “We want to create top shelf videos with better story lines and visuals. Something the fans and performers can really sink their teeth into,” he said. “Almost every time I talk to someone, whether it’s a performer, director, producer or a fan, I get the same thing—‘What happened to making an actual film?’ That’s what we’re going to do, produce top of the line films, with A-list talent. We can do that at a fraction of the cost by treating performers the right way and keeping most of the production local and in-house.”Craven, who is known for her podcasts, interviews and her prowess as an industry performer, echoed Steele’s comments: “We are going to bring back the golden age of hair, makeup, wardrobe and set design. And then, we’re going to promo it and make it available to the masses in ways that have never been seen before from one company. We plan to make full use of the platform available at SkyHawkAfterDarkTV.com to drive traffic and increase visibility for an endless variety of topics from RTR Media and so many others.”Huntsman agreed, adding, “Artistry and creativity is something that gets left out of productions far too often, and at RTR Media, we can do better.”The company already has funding, locations, talent and production personnel for two shoots in September. After those go through the postproduction process, the group plans to offer that content, along with RTR Media’s formal business plan, to secure additional funding and continue building in advance of a formal launch of the company’s website and distribution channels in 2023.For more information, follow the studio on Instagram and Twitter.
