Alert: Scammer Attempting to Book Talent for 2023 AVN Show

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—As a general alert for the adult talent pool at large, it has come to the attention of AVN Media Network that a person unaffiliated with the company has contacted multiple performers attempting to recruit them for signing appearances and "live performances" during the 2023 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo. The person sending these messages is doing so via text from the phone number (407) 904-9851 and using the name "Stacy Hawthorne." The messages include the claim that the recipient is "being nominated for Best Female Actress for our 2023 award ceremony." No such AVN Awards category exists and no nominations have yet been decided for the 2023 AVN Awards. If you receive a message from any unknown person/number claiming to represent AVN, please verify the message with us by way of our Twitter accounts @AVNMediaNetwork or @AVNAwards, our Instagram account @AVN or by contacting any known AVN employee directly.
