A metaverse is a combination of virtual, extended, and augmented reality platforms that permit users from all over the world to access a metaphor of the real world in an augmented, 3D view of the world. Virtual reality is becoming increasingly intertwined with gaming, as dozens of mainstream video game studios have developed editions of their top releases, like critically acclaimed The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim or smash hit Minecraft, for use on virtual reality-enabled operating systems. To access these worlds and their experiences, a headset like an Oculus or a Google Cardboard is required. VR porn operates in the same way. But when it comes to adult content, there has been relatively little development on the front of augmented reality content that can be accessed without the hassle of having to use a VR device or headset.
