'Bump’n The Barriers to Sex & Disability' Workshop on June 14

LOS ANGELES — Heather Morrison and Andrew Gurza of Bump'n—a sex toy company for and by disabled people—will lead a special workshop about lowering the barriers to sex and disability on June 14. Titled "Bump’n The Barriers to Sex and Disability in the LGBTQ2S+ Community," the event is scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. EST at Glad Day Bookshop, 499 Church Street, Toronto and online via Zoom and Instagram Live. ASL Sign Language Interpretation will be provided at the event. Morrison, the co-founder and CEO of Bump'n, and Gurza, co-founder & chief disability officer, plan to share tips on how to combat ableism and prevent macro- and micro- aggressions as an ally, partner and community member to LGBTQ2S+ people with disabilities. Gurza will also offer practical tips and options for people with disabilities and their partners to explore and enhance their pleasure. If you work with people with disabilities and want to advocate for the sexual wellbeing of your clients, they invite you to come learn about these strategies and innovative tools. The duo will show attendees the Bump’n Joystick and how it can be used with compatible WOW Tech toys to enable creative options in exploring different types of pleasure. Gurza remarks, “As co-founder and Chief Disability Officer at Bump'n, I am excited to bring the world's first accessible sex toy, The Bump'n Joystick, to the LGBTQ2S and disabled community this pride month. At Bump'n, we believe everyone deserves access to sexual pleasure. "At this event, we will bump the barriers to sexual pleasure through our product, The Bump'n Joystick, and also by shining a light on conversations around sex and disability that are often seen as taboo." This is an in-person event that will also have virtual attendance available by Zoom.  Click here for more event info. This event is sponsored by Good For Her with the support of We-Vibe and the WowTech Pride Fund. There also will be a giveaway of Bump'n-compatible toys—a We-Vibe Nova 2 and ArcWave Voy.
