San Francisco PornFilmFestival Slate Announced

SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco PornFilmFestival has released the official slate of selections for the third annual event, taking place Aug. 24-27. The festival, presented by Pink and White Productions, will feature programs in-person at the Brava Theater in San Francisco's historic Mission District, and broadcast live to online audiences around the world, powered by the company’s streaming platform PinkLabel.TV. “Attendees can look forward to an enthralling hybrid festival with post-screening filmmaker chats and a vibrant collection of well-crafted and thought-provoking erotic and adult films,” festival organizers said in a statement. The call for submissions attracted entries by moviemakers from around the world, in addition to several productions by creators in the United States and the San Francisco Bay Area. The festival's featured selections span classics to contemporary offerings, including Fred Halsted's L.A. Plays Itself (1974) to kick off the Online Opening Film Showcase. Gene Graham's contemporary documentary on Black America through the underground world of exotic dancing, This One's for the Ladies, will be the festival's Closing Night Film. The sex-positive history of the Bay Area is showcased through selections including Submission Possible: San Francisco, in which erotic artist Madison Young reunites with sexual luminaries, misfits, artists, kinksters and activists such as Annie Sprinkle, Elizabeth Stephens, Midori and Cleo DuBois. Raw! Uncut! Video! chronicles the rise and fall of homegrown gay porn studio Palm Drive Video and explores how a devoted couple helped battle a devastating health crisis by promoting kinky sex. Contemporary Bay Area works include Chaac and Yum by director Roberto Fatal and performers Xav S-F and Snowflake Calvert (Daniel Arizmendi), L'Ingrediente Principale by Isis Tatiana Hockenos and Haley Myer, East Bay Brats 4 by the East Bay Brats, Transform by Domina Mara, and Eternal Flame by the collaborative duo BeyonDeep. A collection of over 70 titles span experimental to documentary genres exploring sexuality topics. To see the full list of official selections, click here.
