Veteran Sales Exec Lorraine Weinberg Dies at 79

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Longtime adult industry saleswoman Lorraine Weinberg died Thursday due to various medical issues, friend and colleague Eric Gutterman informed AVN. She was 79. Weinberg's career spanned over 40 years, handling sales for Caballero Home Video, VCA Pictures, Leisure Time Entertainment, Sunshine Films and most recently Impulse Novelties. She was also partners in an adult store for many years with Gutterman, who told AVN, "Lorraine was part of my family. She was energetic and lovable to be around. Always on the phone to sell whatever to all of her customers she had built up over the years." He continued, "Your day wasn't complete unless you talked to Lorraine. People flocked to her at shows, just to be around her. Just something about her always drew a crowd. She will be deeply missed by all." A memorial service for Weinberg will be held Wednesday, May 4 at 2 p.m. at Mount Sinai Memorial Park and Mortuaries, located at 5950 Forest Lawn Dr., Los Angeles, CA 90068. The service is open to all friends, family and acquainatance who wish to attend.
