Fresh Faces: Summer Vixen

A version of this feature appeared in the February issue of AVN magazine. Click here for the digital edition. LOS ANGELES — Summer Vixen remembers seeing pictures from past AVN Awards shows and imagining what it would be like to be there for adult’s most glamorous occasion. “I have known about AVN for a few years and that’s always been a dream of mine to just go to the Awards and walk on the red carpet,” Summer recalls. On January 22, Summer experienced the 2022 AVN Awards Show as an insider as one of the night’s presenters—who sat on stage for the entire all-digital broadcast at a soundstage in the San Fernando Valley. Not bad for a performer who at the time had only been in adult for about six weeks. “It was an amazing awards show,” Summer says. “I can’t even imagine it with the red carpet [in Las Vegas].”  To say that the personable native of Huntington Beach, Calif., was all over the 39th annual ceremony would not be an understatement since she also did all the voiceovers for each awards category that was presented during the live broadcast. Summer also joined Jill Kassidy and Chloe Temple at center stage to present the first awards of the evening. “I would say I’m still in disbelief that I was such a big part of the show,” Summer, who did sales & marketing for a cannabis company for two years prior to adult, told AVN on Jan. 29. “I’m still so honored. I’m still on cloud nine. Every day I think about the AVNs, usually when I wake up it’s one of the first things I think about. It was just amazing that I was part of such a big show at such an early stage in my career. I’m very thankful still. “I’ve still been seeing little pictures and clips of the AVN Awards Show and it always puts a huge smile on my face.” Even though only about a dozen scenes have released so far, Summer already has performed in more than 30 since her first shoot—for NetVideoGirls—on December 3rd. Represented by SoCalModels, the rising star has credits for Mike Adriano’s TrueAnal, AnalOnly and AllAnal; TushyRaw; two scenes for Naughty America; Nubiles, Throated; ThePornDude; and SpankMonster, among others. “I think being positive in the industry is very important—nobody wants to work in negative environment, let alone have sex in a negative environment,” Summer says. “Being positive and always smiling is very important.” She adds, “With each shoot I’ve gotten better and better and a little bit more comfortable.” It’s become obvious that Summer has warmed up to shooting—in particular, she enjoys anal sex. “I love doing anal scenes a little bit more,” Summer admits with a laugh. “I love getting fucked in the ass more than the pussy. And they treat you really, really good on anal scenes. They feed you right after and treat you like a princess for the day. It’s all about you—and I love that. “That’s how I feel like every shoot should be. The girl and the male talent should be the center of attention for the day.” Based on early indications, Summer better get used to being the center of attention. Her first career anal scene was with three-time AVN Male Performer of the Year Mick Blue for TushyRaw under the direction of Derek Dozer. “I absolutely loved it,” she says. “Mick Blue was wonderful, a very professional guy, very personable, very open. He did teach me a lot of things, too.” Summer reveals she didn’t know who Blue was before the shoot. Now, however, she makes it a point to look up her co-stars on social media before she gets to set. She calls her agent Matt Morgia of SoCal Models “part of my family.” They met after Morgia reached out to her on Twitter. The performer started her OnlyFans in September 2020 and also would cam on Chaturbate and MyFreeCams prior to doing her first porn scene. Summer says posting naughty photos on OnlyFans gave her a sense of empowerment. “I’d never posted any nude photos anywhere else in my life besides just sending them to a boyfriend,” she tells AVN. “So I made an OnlyFans and my first month I think I made four grand. That was a big jump from not doing anything before in sex work, so I thought maybe I do have a chance at this.” “I’ve always wanted to be in the industry,” Summer adds. “Ever since I was younger—before I even turned 18—I wanted to be in the industry.” She did customer service-oriented jobs from the time she was 15 working at a popular surf shop in downtown Huntington Beach—all the way up until January 2021. “I quit my job and took a leap of faith,” Summer explains. “I was trying to get more known and it was going real slowly, I wasn’t getting noticed. Then when Matt reached out to me it was a blessing in disguise.” When she isn’t working, she is probably relaxing on the beach with a cup of coffee in hand. “There’s nothing like breathing in the fresh air,” she says. “It makes me feel so zen and peaceful.” Now 26 with a birthday coming up in April, Summer says she feels more ready to handle all that comes with being a professional adult performer. “I use my age to my advantage,” she says. “I’m more aware and I’m more responsible. I do look a little bit younger and it helps me in the industry. I’m just more aware and I’m not scared to say ‘no’ if I want to.” Photography by Vinny Bonez
