Casey Kisses: “Trans Content is Absolutely Mainstream”

When it comes to transsexual content’s place in the adult marketplace, TS actress Casey Kisses says that the days of this content being a ‘niche’ are over.

“I think trans content is absolutely mainstream these days,” she told YNOT. “A lot of people don’t like it publicly because of the stigma associated with the attraction to trans people, but I have hundreds of thousands of fans across social media. The numbers prove themselves. The progression is slow but definitely on an upward slope.”

Casey has sufficient adult industry experience and success to back up her assessment. Having started as a cam model, Kisses made her first transsexual adult video in 2016 –Two Girls Studios’ “Online Friends Meet to Fuck” with fellow TS actress Korra Del Rio. She has since done trans shoots with Trans Angels, Third World Media, Pure Taboo, Evil Angel, Devil’s Film, Mile High, Trans500, Grooby Productions, Pure Taboo, GenderX, Kink.com and TransSensual.

That’s not all: Casey’s personal life journey has been documented in the Adult Time film, Casey: A True Story, which was directed by industry icon Joanna Angel. Add to that Kisses’ 2018 nominations for two AVN and one XBIZ awards, followed by winning the XBIZ Award for Transsexual Artist of the Year in 2021, and she has proven her popularity and staying power in the adult industry

Asked how she’s gone so far in such a short time, Casey Kisses replies, “I think it’s been my perseverance. I’ve always been determined to succeed, and to keep trying to be the best version of myself. I’ve looked up to so many big-name stars and implement what they do into my performances.”

That Casey has gone so far in porn is amazing. After all, she only began camming on Chaturbate after surviving a near-fatal car crash and not wanting to return to her regular job, when she had been hassled during her MtF transition process.

“Yes, it was a definitely a turning point in my life and something I saw the silver lining in,” Casey says. “Without the crash I would never have started camming full time or thought it was something that would lead me to success. Chaturbate has been amazing to me and without them I wouldn’t know where I’d be today.”

Like most great stars, Casey started out small.

“My first camming experience was pretty neat,” she recalls. “I didn’t have thousands of live viewers like I do today, but I did manage to make $30 in two hours, which was the same as I was making in my previous line of work. I thought it was great!”

As her Chaturbate audience grew, so did her earnings. “Every few months or so I would see the amount increase,” says Casey. “Then I realized that the more often I went live, the more followers I would get who would then join my next show. So I started camming two times daily, which helped me grow fast and become the cam star I am today.”

As Casey’s camming following grew, she began to catch the attention of the adult video industry. “I was first contacted through Twitter from a few companies that saw my cam shows,” she says. “Once I finally did a scene, my career took off. I flew to Vegas and began making my rounds. My career definitely took time to evolve but it’s put me in a place of financial independence. It’s been my saving grace.”

Casey’s onscreen work also led to her personal story being told in Casey: A True Story. The idea for this movie came about on the set for She Seduced Me, which features both Casey and Joanna.

“Joanna was asking me about my abilities and experiences riding motorcycles,” Casey recalls. “She wasn’t planning on making a movie about my life story but was thinking about doing a movie with transwomen who ride. But once I told her about my motorcycling past her eyes lit up and she messaged Bree Mills about potentially doing an Adult Time movie about it.”

And the rest, as they say, is history.

So how close is Casey: A True Story to Casey’s own life story? Very close.

“The movie was super accurate,” Casey says. “We had to trim some of the stories out because I had so many to tell, but it definitely is super accurate.”

Today, Casey is grateful for the financial support and success that her fans have given her. And she is dismissive of critics who disparage these fans as “tranny chasers.”

“I hate when people use that term about people who admire the trans community,” declares Casey. “If they like my body for what it is, then they are an amazing part of this community. I see my fans as prideful supporters. Without them I wouldn’t have a fan base. I have a cisgender fiancé as well and they enjoy her equally. I don’t think people should be categorized but just seen as people.”

Meanwhile, her six years in the adult industry has been a lot more pleasant for her than life in the ‘straight’ working world.

“The amount of support I’ve gotten from the companies and performers I’ve worked with,” Casey says. “I didn’t think it was as tight-knit as it is but I’ve made a lot of friends through it. A lot of the companies I’ve worked with really try their hardest to make sure our comfort levels are met. They go above and beyond to help us progress and I’ve been asked for my opinion on how to better integrate trans media into mainstream. It’s been amazing working with companies such as Adult Time.”

All told, joining the adult industry has been a truly positive move for Casey. “Absolutely 1000%,” she says. “I can’t stress it enough that this industry saved my life. Making friends, having sex, all while making money. Who can complain?!”

As for her advice to other trans people considering a career in adult?

“I would say to do it,” Casey replies. “Be yourself when it comes to shooting as well. Don’t be afraid to let loose and have some input on the scenes as well. Chemistry sells. Sure, there’s some acting, but you shouldn’t have to force it. If you think something is hot, your fans most definitely will too.”

Looking to the future, Casey plans on “broadening my reach as an entertainer,” she says.

“I want to become successful in all aspects of my life,” she says. “I’ve really taken a liking to Twitch and have been streaming as often as possible. I’m really excited to put more scenes out as a producer as well. I’ve been producing scenes for Mindgeek and hope to bring some of the hottest scenes I can to the market. And I want to be the Joanna Angel of directing trans porn.”
