Pineapple Support Names Industry Veterans to Liaison Posts

LOS ANGELES—Pineapple Support has named industry veterans Leah Mahi and Mark Hassell as community liaison officers. They will assist performers who want to know more about working with the mental wellness organization. Mahi, who is XBIZ director of marketing and advertising, and Mark Hassell, who has over 17 years of experience working with adult media and content companies, will help provide access to Pineapple Support and its network of trained and licensed counselors and therapists, though won’t provide advice or support directly. “Sometimes stigma around accessing emotional support, or even just not knowing what to expect, can act as barriers to performers getting access to the services they need,” said Leya Tanit, founder and CEO of Pineapple Support. “Mark and Leah are both highly respected and trusted members of the adult industry, so anyone that might feel more comfortable approaching a familiar face for stigma-free information about accessing our support can do so, safely and easily. I’m thankful to them both for helping to provide performers with a safe bridge to support, and in doing so, championing access to mental health services in our community.” Those interested in learning more about Pineapple Support and its services, including providing support groups, webinars and other events, may contact Mahi and Hassell directly.
