SpankChain Introduces “Spank Pop Shots” NFTs

SpankChain has announced the official launch of its “Spank Pop Shots” non-fungible tokens (NFTs), saying that “if adult content is king, these new creator-curated collectibles are queen.”

“What started as a Twitter joke turned out to be no laughing matter,” SpankChain said in its announcement, adding that when the company first tweeted in jest about launching a series of NFTs, they didn’t know “their loyal followers would take this idea very seriously.”

Fast forward four months and now the company has unveiled its first NFT collection, dubbed Spank Pop Shots, NFTs that were “created and curated in collaboration with performers.”

“For those unfamiliar with the stimulating and lucrative new world of NFTS (non-fungible tokens), these bits of content are like authenticated digital versions of your classic collectible,” SpankChain explained in its announcement. “Think autographed baseball cards, historic coinage, or rare stamps, but in this case, it’s snackable adult video content.”

SpankChain noted in its announcement that “despite their novelty NFTs are anything but underground.”

“This content format was rapidly embraced by the fine arts community, with major houses like Christie’s selling these new digital ‘works’ for sums in the tens of millions of dollars,” SpankChain observed in its announcement.

The company added that adult content connoisseurs “will be pleased to discover that Spank Pop Shots feature a range of talent, from rising stars to seasoned professionals.”

“These steamy NFTs are sold in randomly selected packs of four and feature five levels of nudity, from dirty and flirty to extra-hardcore,” SpankChain explained. “All content is chosen by the performer, and each pack comes with a unique serial number to validate its authenticity.”

In its release, SpankChain also opined that the “adult industry is changing for the better, and in many ways, blockchain technology has facilitated its evolution.”

“As performers begin to demand increased control over their earnings and more agency in their careers, the world of crypto-currency and new content formats like NFTs have charged the path for a fairer, more equitable future for porn,” SpankChain added.

“I love it when my fans buy my NFTs, it makes me feel so special, like they truly care,” said adult performer Brenna Sparks. “It’s great to see Spank Pop Shots using crypto in this way to bring creators and their fans closer together!”

Performer and well-established crypto enthusiast Allie Eve Knox added that “Spank Pop Shots is a really exciting opportunity for models to create content that our community loves to collect.”

“Similar to trading cards, our fans can collect our series of clips and own their own digital art piece, created by us,” Knox said.

In its announcement, SpankChain emphasized from its very launch, “SpankChain has been a performer-first company.”

“So, it should come as no surprise that 100% of the proceeds from the inaugural pack sales and 10% of every Spank Pop Shot resale goes where it ought to: the talent,” the company added. “SpankChain believes that the future of adult will be led by autonomous performers, not earnings-gouging platforms and discriminatory legacy financial institutions.”

SpankChain then addressed what it called “the big, fat, no-cost elephant in the room”: free porn.

“While it’s true that there are many adult consumers out there who are content to get mediocre content for free, more widespread performer adoption of NFTs stands to shift the dynamics of the industry and normalize paying more for quality content,” SpankChain said, concluding its statement by declaring that the “future is NFTs, and it’s sexier than ever.”
