AVN Stars Spotlight: ThrasherBrat

LOS ANGELES — The notorious ThrasherBrat knows her strengths, displaying them daily on her uninhibited AVN Stars feed. “Although ThrasherBrat or Thrashie is an exaggerated version of me, she's still me,” says the confident native of Iowa. “She has her good days and bad days. She is kind sometimes and mean at others. “She's powerful and, more importantly, authentic. I love her and I'm constantly in awe of her... and in awe of myself.” AVN Stars’ resident “indica-dominant dominatrix” brings a noble mission to her profession. “More than anything I want to make domination fun again,” ThrasherBrat explains. “Not just stoic JOI's but goofy fun, authentic domination as much as one woman can conjure alone behind a camera.”So far, so good for the self-proclaimed “government-hating, guitar-playing, man-hating pirate” who has found an enthusiastic audience that responds to her tough love teachings. "My forte is training men in respect, teaching them to become actually useful as opposed to calling themselves useful and just sitting around jerking off, being annoying,” she says. Thrashie says her humble beginnings started in the sugar baby scene. However that didn’t last long. “I did that for about a year before I realized that i need to be the dominant one,” she says with a laugh. “I do not take orders very well. From there the story wrote itself. “I got more involved in clip making and began reaching out to the kink community. I definitely like being the one to teach and lead. Let’s face it… men don't know what they want or how to get it. Not like I do.” No argument here. Thrashie describes her AVN Stars community as “definitely a bunch of nerdy kinksters.” “Not everything is kink-related,” she says. “I’m branching out into erotic photography as well and just photography and modeling in general. I love the idea of bringing a set or story in my mind to life. I feel like I'll be keeping fetishes around but focusing on my passion—modeling—more so for sure.” She used to call herself Harley Queen because of her fascination with the DC Comics character Harley Quinn. Then one day ThrasherBrat emerged. “I don't exactly remember how ThrasherBrat came into my mind,” Thrashie admits. “I think it was kind of a play on Thrasher the brand but more so about thrash metal and thrashing around and in my mind ‘that was the special twist’ or whatever.” In this exclusive Q&A, Thrashie reveals a few of her previous jobs, her approach to AVN Stars, her favorite tattoos and her interest in folklore, among other things. AVN: Where are you from originally—born and raised?TB: I’m born and raised from Iowa City, Iowa. Although my dad is from Detroit and I spent a lot of time with him, too, growing up. So I guess you could say I'm well rounded, haha—half farm girl, half city slicker. What were you doing for work before you got into adult?I just was working cashier jobs and stuff. I was a dog handler for a bit, too. I think that was my favorite job outside of sex work. I would've stayed if I didn't have problems with my boss, lol. And I walked out of a Kohl’s job after one day. I worked at Barnes & Noble for a bit, too—walked out on that, too. I'm not built for 9-to-5 jobs, lol.  How and when did you get into adult modeling? What inspired you to go for it?I was already being so sexually harassed and made uncomfortable at work because of my natural breasts that I said fuck it. It took a few years for me to get really good at it but I've definitely found my niche. I don’t know, it's like something inside me knew what I wanted to do and wouldn't let me stop until I pursued it.  When did you sign up for AVN Stars? How did you hear about the platform? I think it was around when AVN was giving away free tickets to their event in Vegas, lol. It wasn't until I had the platform for a few months that I came around to understanding how rare and useful it really is (silly me).  What do you think of the AVN Stars platform so far? What are your favorite features of it? I love how easy it is to find clips and subscribe to the fan club in the same platform! The bane of my existence is trying to send my clips to my OnlyFans subscribers, lol. Just sub to the (better) platform with a clip store already built into it. How would you describe your approach to AVN Stars? What do you like to post?Well, since the feds are cracking down on consensual sexual workers and letting their actual trafficking friends run rampant, I've been using it more like Twitter every day, posting random domination thoughts I have throughout the day, posting either full sets for my subscribers or bits and pieces—fun shots I enjoy. How did you learn your techniques for being a Domme?Mostly from books. I already had the tendencies all though I didn't realize it at the time, but after reading through a few dominatrix memoirs bought from Barnes & Noble before I quit (sorry Barnes & Noble! You guys were always so sweet to me but being told what to do is the bane of my existence!). I had figured out that I liked what I was doing and so did my subs. From there it was just a matter of tweaking and refining.  What kind of clips do you create? What is your specialty?I used to make a lot of really trippy clips but it lost its appeal to me a couple of years ago. Nowadays I just set up the camera and dominate. Since the pandemic I haven't been doing any real time, nor do I plan on doing any in the near future, so getting my kink fix by dominating a camera is therapeutic for me. Just as kink is therapeutic for everyone. Kink wise, I prefer financial domination (once a sugar baby always a sugar baby—this is a joke, I know the difference between the two) and I’ve been told I'm quite amazing at it. What have you learned about yourself since you started your adult entertainment career? I’ve become the fittest I’ve ever been, not just to look great but to feel great. Motivating my subs motivates me as well. They look up to me. I like to give them someone worth looking up to. Together we can accomplish amazing goals. We really can do whatever we put our minds to. What do you enjoy the most about your profession? The freedom! As I’ve said millions of times before and will continue to say, I was born to be a menace to the 9-to-5 work day. I was a hard worker but a bastard at every job I’ve ever had because I refuse to be pushed around. And that's kind of a requirement to work under someone. I will never let someone talk down to me again!  What are some of your favorite tattoos and what do they mean to you?My newest tattoos and my first tattoo are my favorites I think. The newest being the ankh between my breasts and the fairy on my chest/shoulder. I love lore and I plan to get tons more cryptids and creatures of folklore tattooed on my body as well. My first tattoo was a Bible verse in elvish. I don’t really do the Christianity thing anymore but the verse still means a lot to me, “have I not commanded you be strong and courageous.”  What are your hobbies or interests outside of your adult work?Folklore! I love folklore, anthropology, learning about cultures and legends. That's my passion. Sounds weird cause it is, but that's really been my obsession lately. I like video games, too! Especially Nintendo. Pokémon has been my comfort game/show since I was a kid. I’ve played every Pokémon game out so far, except some of the more obscure ones. And recently I’ve been really into fire emblem. Anime is cool, too. Love anime. Full Metal Alchemist was my first anime. I would sneak into my dad’s room at night (he always fell asleep on the couch) and watch FMA on Toonami. I felt so cool and rebellious, little did I know how cool and rebellious I would really become. Other anime I like are Fruits Basket, Erased, Soul Eater, Fooly Cooly, Death Note, Re:Zero. I know I'm missing a lot but that's a basic run down of my anime style. What’s next for you in 2021 and beyond?More modeling for sure. More femdom for sure! I've recently had the pleasure of collaborating with the SuicideGirls community and I’ve made such good friends. There’s no doubt SG will be a main focus of mine. Aside from that, femdom clips will still be a focus, but I don't think I like real time anymore. I have been having too many "subs" trying to take advantage recently, even resulting in some abuse/threats from a past sub (no, I didn't deserve it at all. I always stay within the lines of consent; he didn't and I don't want my consent taken away from me anymore). So without sessions in my life I have a lot of free time to create and explore. Aside from kink, I’m going to continue using my voice to push for positive, substantial change. Before anything, my priority is my community's safety. Since FOSTA/SESTA it's been harder to keep ourselves safe but together we can accomplish anything, we can bring safety to the sex worker community. I intend to be a part of the change however my scaredy-cat ass can.
