Liz Flynt Takes Over Publisher Role at 'Hustler' With July Issue

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.—The late Larry Flynt's widow Liz Flynt has stepped into his role of Publisher at Hustler magazine.  "Hustler will carry on!" Mrs. Flynt wrote in her first Publisher's Statement in the iconic magazine's July issue, out today on newsstands and in digital format. "Having had the privilege of being by Larry’s side for the past 30 years, at home and in the office, the reins have now passed to her hands," states a company announcement of the transition. "She promises to faithfully honor Larry’s legacy by continuing the Hustler tradition—showcasing beautiful women, calling out political hypocrisy and fighting hard to protect the First Amendment." Added Liz Flynt, "As Larry would say, ‘Life goes on, and it is good.’”  AVN Award-nominated Russian model Mary Rock graces the July cover and is showcased in a 12-page centerfold spread. Additional pictorials feature Vanna Bardot, Casey Calvert, Mandi Armani, Hazel Heart and more. This month’s Hustler Classic, a popular feature with readers, is the 2007 “Thank God for Country Girls,” shot by Laurent Sky and featuring Briana Banks and Brittney Skye. The July issue also boasts an exclusive interview with John Lydon, aka Sex Pistols frontman Johnny Rotten, in which author Colin McCracken takes a look back with Lydon at his 40 years in the business. Comic Sam Morril speaks with Hustler about his role in Joker, growing up in Gotham and open-mic hell. Additionally, reporter John Blaylock explores the remote revolution in sex work with the feature “Models Without Borders,” securing the input of women from south of the equator all the way up to Willow, Alaska.
