APAG to Host Forum With Congress Candidate Alexandra Hunt

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—The Adult Performance Artists Guild (APAG) announced today that it will host a meeting this Sunday evening with Alexandra Hunt, a Philadelphia-based candidate running for the U.S. House of Representatives.  Hunt is a public health researcher, a girls’ soccer coach, an advocate for social, racial, economic and environmental justice, and an organizer advocating for the 3rd district of Pennsylvania. During her time in college, she worked as both a server and a stripper in order to make ends meet, bolstering her commitment to issues affecting adult industry members as well as the working class in general. When she spoke to www.technic.ly, Hunt said of her exotic dancing past, “I decided to be transparent, and I didn’t want to be in a place where anything was being used against me. I did it because I needed the finances. And I’m not going to be ashamed of it, and I’m hoping I get to connect with other women or male sex workers out there.”
