Jessica Drake Leads Virtual Talks on Consent-Based Sex Education

LOS ANGELES—Wicked Sensual Care on Tuesday announced that resident sex educator, brand strategist, and Wicked Pictures contract star, Jessica Drake, recently completed two university speaking engagements that saw her addressing the realities and dispelling the misconceptions of sex work, the adult entertainment industry, advocacy, and other sexual wellness topics. Her first talk was with the students of Psychology of Human Sexuality, offered through the Psychology Department of the University of New Mexico and taught by Assistant Professor Tania Reynolds, PhD. Utilizing a virtual format, jessica addressed a host of topics with the class of undergraduates, including sexual health, relationships, feminism, tolerance, boundaries, and consent."Jessica was incredibly engaging, professional, and thoughtful," Assistant Professor Reynolds said after the well-attended talk. "She used inclusive language and was very open about her experiences. My students thoroughly enjoyed her talk and said that it helped dispel many of their misconceptions about the pornography industry and sex work. I highly recommend jessica drake as a guest speaker and sex educator."This informative and insightful event was followed by a talk with the students of HEA 260 - Human Sexuality, a University of North Carolina, Greensboro undergraduate course taught by Alicia Miller MPH. A certified health education specialist and sex educator, Ms. Miller was struck by the passion and empathy her guest speaker shared with the students. "jessica brings indispensable experience and knowledge to conversations about sex, adult films, and advocacy," she observed. "Our honest question and answer session was described by students as 'empowering' and 'inspiring.'" "Having the chance to speak at universities is not only rewarding, it's exceptionally thought provoking and gives me the opportunity to hone my presentations to better serve inquisitive young minds," Drake said of the recent speaking tour. ”Between being spoon-fed porn by every device and lacking comprehensive, consent-based, non-judgmental sex education, it's a topic we must keep talking about. My hope is not only that my voice will continue to be included in these areas, but that the voices of others with valuable lived experiences are heard as well."
