Ivan Creates GoFundMe for Misha Montana Following Stroke

LOS ANGELES—Up and coming alt model Misha Montana suffered a stroke in her sleep last Thursday and is currently recovering in intensive care. Director and close friend Ivan, with whom Montana co-hosts the reality show 2 Russians 1 America, has launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist her with the medical and other bills she's incurring during her rehabilitation. Ivan reports that Montana was diagnosed with the stroke following a harrowing journey of driving herself to the nearest hospital almost two hours away after she woke up Thursday to find she was unable to formulate words and half her face and arm had gone numb. The stroke was due, doctors determined, to complications from blood clots and an undiagnosed heart condition. "Misha is one of the strongest people I know," Ivan said. "She is also a grounded and well adjusted, intelligent woman who understands the aspects of humanity and helping others. This is not a setback for this fantastic lady, this is another opportunity for her to show the world her human side as well as the strength of a positive mindset." Commented Montana, "This has been such an emotional and scary time in my life. I have been working extremely hard on building my brand and producing unique, authentic content. While this health situation tests my limits and abilities, it doesn't define or break me. If anything, I'd like to use this moment as an opportunity of optimism, strength, positivity and perseverance. It's a pivot to keep creating and sharing my story. People need to see the real struggles every human goes through. No one is immune to what life hands us but it's how we react and rebuild from that. "I plan on showing the world that this setback is simply another motivational tool and I'll use it to make a positive impact in my life as well as the industry as a whole," she added.
