Fresh Faces: YoungStarBrazy

LOS ANGELES—YoungStarBrazy, an independent performer who manages channels on xHamster, Pornhub and xVideo — and who recently opened an AVN Stars account, as well — has taken what may be a unique route into the adult industry. While he may not be the first hip-hop music artist to make the jump into creating adult content, few if any have made both careers work together. But that is the Columbus, Ohio, native’s goal. Though at this moment, one side is definitely taking precedence. “We’re trying to balance both right now,” he told AVN, referring to his longtime girlfriend LadyBrazy who co-stars in his adult videos. “If we could merge both, we’re gonna do it. We have over two million total views on adult films. We put our music in some of our adult films. We’re trying to do both.” While other rap artists have attempted to cross over between adult and music, in Brazy’s estimation, they’ve generally come up short. “It seems like most people who do adult film have terrible music. I have good music, and good, independent adult film content. I record with my iPhone12, the newest iPhone out, and it comes out amazing looking.” Why make the jump into the adult industry, from hip-hop? The origins of his second career were simple. “I like music, and I like sex,” he says. “Me and my girlfriend, we have a lot of threesomes. And a lot of girls said we’re good at it. So we said, ‘Why not record it, and get paid for it?’” To date, the two career tracks have meshed well. He remains independent in the music business as well, saying that he has turned down a series of potential offers with major labels to keep himself out of debt to record companies, which often require artists to pay back advance money that they do not recoup in sales. His move into adult has not hurt, and appears to have helped Brazy’s music career. “It’s making my streams go crazy,” he says. “As I said, I have my music in the background of my videos. So not only do I get paid by my music agency, it also helps with notoriety. I go by the same music name and adult film name. So when they Google me they’re going to find everything.” Brazy told AVN that he expects to sign a record label deal “eventually.” And on the adult side, he signed in December with Todd Supro’s Starxxx talent agency. But at present, his adult career is outpacing the music side so he plans to “hold off” on signing a label contract as he continues to use his own music as the soundtrack to his adult videos, “until I have enough experience, and have enough views that I can go ahead and accept a record deal. I have high expectations for both, but adult film is what just took off. I’m really liking the adult film career right now.” Asked about his career goals, he immediately declares, “a AVN Award, if not five or six.” Beyond those industry accolades, “I want to do successful video shoots with my agency, to make him a bunch of money and make the agency look good, and to put my name out there more. And I want to get Lady Brazy’s name out there more.” Coming from what he calls a “rough area” in Columbus, Brazy says that his career goals come from his background, which provide him with motivation to succeed in not just one, but two chosen careers. “I grew up there. I didn’t have much to my name as a young guy. Grew older, got a college degree — an associate’s degree in business administration. I just kind of wanted a change to my life,” Brazy told AVN. “Going through poverty at a young age really sparked ambition for me to take finance and creating a better life for myself in my own hands. We’re big on building and creating. You don’t let your situation define you. You don’t let where you come from define who you are.”
