Bells' 'From Fantasy To Film' Eligible for Votes to Show at SXSW

CYBERSPACE—Jennifer Lyon Bell has conducted her workshop “From Fantasy To Film: Design Your Own Erotic Movie,“ several times, and each time, it's been a hit. Now it has been chosen as a possible contender for a slot at the South by Southwest (SXSW) 2021 film festival. Voting is possible through this Friday, Nov. 20, 2020. The “From Fantasy To Film,” workshop, led by award-winning erotic filmmaker and curator Bell of Blue Artichoke Films, offers the tools to plan and create one's own erotic/porn movie—and it doesn't matter whether the workshop grad later decides to pick up a camera and do it, or whether he/she/they just likes knowing it's possible. In this DIY workshop, Bell provides exercises to tweak the erotic imagination and help decide what the fledgling filmmaker would like to see on film, whether it be soft or hard. She shows examples of the best porn/erotic film from around the world so attendees can see possibilities as to how to express an idea—and maybe coming up with something entirely new. Course takers will even make their own storyboards to take home.  All genders and orientations are welcome, and the workshop is kink-positive. Bell has said she strives to create a safe, non-judgmental place where film professionals and newbies alike can explore their ideas and creativity.
