Jewelz Blu on Flow Arts, EDM and Adult Performing |
LOS ANGELESâWhen Jewelz Blu wants to spin, finding the right location is key. A master of the flow arts whose dazzling fire fan performances light up the sky, Blu weaves her magic in tunnels, alleys and on secluded trailsâamong other spots off the beaten path. She even put on a show for AVN in a dry riverbed near Montebello Park. âI wanted to do something outdoors that was kind of grungy and industrial feeling,â Blu says. âI brought a speaker to play some music. That always helps set the vibe.â Jewelz twirled fire fans and danced with her LED hula hoop as the sun went down in L.A. while GlitterFlick, aka Ashlee Juliet, snapped the action for an exclusive photoset. Blu tells AVN sheâs been spinning fire since 2016âand performing with props since 2014. âIt was definitely a big part of my life before I decided to join porn and I still do it now,â Blu says. âI was trying to get into the performing aspect of it. I used to go-go dance and Iâve performed at festivals before. I was still doing that last year, too.ââ A regular standout at EDM events, Blu entertained at Insomniacâs Nocturnal Wonderland in September 2019 in San Bernardino, Calif., and was a roaming costumed performer at Electric Daisy Carnival in May 2018 in Las Vegas. She began to hone her spinning talents as a member of the color guard during her last two years of high school in Southern California. âThat kind of translated into my love of the flow arts, theyâre very similar,â says Blu, who became adept at maneuvering flags before flirting with fire. Blu achieved a goal in her journey as a performance artist earlier this year, when she spun fire during a scene called âEvil Tiki Babesâ before hardcore sex with Ramon Nomar for Joanna Angelâs BurningAngel.com. âWhen I started porn one of my ultimate goals besides making a name for myself was to combine both of my passions into one, and I actually have done that already with Burning Angel,â Blu says. âIn the scene I was kind of like Joannaâs accomplice.â Blu, who is represented by Motley Models, says she thought about doing porn for a while before making her debut in 2019. âPorn was something I had always wanted to do,â she says. âIâve been in other areas of the sex world. I used to be a Domme before porn and I felt like porn was the next step for me⦠I thought about it for a really long time. I thought Iâm not getting any younger. I felt like the time is now.â She dabbled on MyFreeCams when she turned 18. âI was on and off with it. I didnât know what I was doing and I didnât really take it seriously,â Blu admits. âDuring that time I was creating content just for my Instagram, styling my own photoshoots. I would find photographers to shoot with. I shot with a lot different festival and rave clothing brands. I felt like all that helped me curate my content creation style and process. âI like to get creative with what I do in general. I like to make it themed. I like to do fun things with lighting and just make it artsy. Because I think if youâre going to do it, youâve gotta have fun with it and the fans notice it, too.â Blu at press time had amassed 356,000-plus followers on her dreamy Instagram feed and 170,000-plus on Twitterâshe has almost 90 adult performing credits for studios such as Naughty America, Nubiles, Team Skeet, Jules Jordan Video, Mofos, AmateurAllure and Blacked.com. The self-styled âblue-haired mermaid slutâ is the October Bang! Babe of the Month for Bang.com on the heels of being selected as the CherryPimps Cherry of the Month in September. âWe were very stoked when Jewelz reached out to us about joining the industry,â Motley Models president Dave Rock tells AVN. âShe was already well established on social media as a EDM performer and her brand was all blue. Typically, we would never touch a model with blue hair. ⦠However, after meeting Jewelz and recognizing what a talent she is, it was no-brainer to bring her aboard.â Rock continues, âSince then sheâs done nothing but impress everyone with her beautiful look, flawless skin and rockinâ bod. Sheâs professional, shows up on time, easy to work with and delivers dynamite scenes. âSheâs also a beast on social media creating some of the most unique and sexy content all by herself. Sheâs a true talent and has made a serious impact in this biz⦠Everyone knows Jewelz Blu.â Motley Models talent agent Ryan Kona, who handles Bluâs scene bookings, tells AVN, âNobody in the industry is quite as unique as her right now.â âHer style makes her stand out from the crowd in the best possible way,â Kona says. âSheâs so easy to work with. I couldnât ask for a better model to represent.â Kona says Blu has defied the conventional wisdom about performers sporting colored hair not being as easily booked. âSheâs really transcended that,â Kona says. âMy general thought process is if a girl has a unique look and image that will work we should be 100% supportive of that and use that image and make the best out of it. ⦠Sheâs so multitalented and smart and that makes me so happy that sheâs getting the recognition that sheâs deserves.â Blu was thankful that Rock and Kona assured her she doesnât need to change her appearance to fit a mold. âI feel like weâre in a time now where anyone can be successful with any look they have if they really own it and make it a part of their brand,â Jewelz says. She certainly has. âNot that I thought I would not be successful, but Iâm very thankful for my agency,â she continues. âIâm very thankful for my agent Ryan and having someone looking out for me and wanting to get me the best shoots. And just the fact that Iâm just being me. I want to take things to the next level. âI want things to be even bigger and better. Iâm off to a really great start; I just love the industry. âItâs cool that a lot of companies Iâve worked with are companies that havenât worked with people with my look. Iâm like âsoft altââin the words of one of my friends. I donât have the tattoos. Itâs cool that companies have stepped out of their comfort zones a lot of times. âIâm like the girl next door but from outer space.â Blu reveals some of her favorite scenes include her first appearance on Brazzers with Small Hands, and her virtual reality scenes that include two for BadoinkVR, one for BabeVR and another where she plays Officer Jenny Pokemon in a parody for VRCosplayX. âI love cosplay, I think I should do more of it,â she says. âMy first BurningAngel scene, too; my Reality Kings scene with Lacy Lennon is one of my favorites as well. The energy was really good that day with her and Quinton James. We had great chemistry and great energy; and my CherryPimps Cherry of the Month scenes I think are really special. That was my first ever anything âof the month.ââ Jewelz continues, âIâve also done some at-home scenes, too, that Iâm really excited about. I did an at-home solo for Bang! thatâs going to be coming out [in October] with Halloween vibes.â One of Bluâs most memorable projects this year was her collaboration with @marinafini for a video she called âa vision through space and time.â âShe is an amazing artist and photographer,â Blu says. âIf youâve seen photos of the crazy psychedelic art in my cam room itâs all made by her. Sheâs an acrylic artist. She makes sick wall pieces and art installations and I only know of her because of Tumblr. I followed her on Tumblr way back when Tumblr was a big thing. âI guess it was a fate that I got to work with her for a photoshoot for this clothing brand. ⦠That whole shoot captured my essence entirely.â Jewelz says her go-to genre of EDM is drum and bass, adding that lately sheâs been into the sounds of British artist Sub Focus. âI love my drum and bass. I have other favorites but thatâs the one I donât get tired of. I like to play it to get ready to make content. I like to spin fire to it as well,â she says. Sometimes even when she goes long periods without spinning, the techniques always come back to her. âIâm never going to forget how to do it,â she says. âIf I havenât done it in a while I could still pick it up. Itâs a little scary but itâs a healthy amount of fear. You donât want to get too cocky with it. If you do, then you end up getting burned.â She says that someone who is just starting out should always have a spotter with a fire safety blanket nearby during sessions. âAnd you donât want to do it in dry brush areas. We donât want any forest fires,â Blu adds. When she thinks about whatâs next for her in adult, she says there are a lot of firsts that she has yet to do. âI canât say exactly when but I do plan on doing an anal scene at some point in the near or far future,â Blu reveals. âI also hope to one day be involved in the creative process of scenes, maybe direct for a company in a scene that Iâm in or have some creative control or input. I think thatâd be really cool. I just see my brand growing from here on out. Iâd also like to make merch for myself one day, too.â Photography by GlitterFlick; click here for gallery.
