YouPorn Launches '2020' Confessional Category

NEW YORK CITY—Adult video platform YouPorn has announced that it is launching a new, confessional style category on the site titled “2020,” where users will be able to share their stories about this unprecedented time in world history, all while supporting mental healthcare accessibility through its partner in the venture, BuddyHelp. Stories of all kinds are welcome for upload, whether be they joyful, sad, frustrating, hilarious or sexy. To kick off the category, video submissions from Jedy Vales, YouPorn’s digital ambassador, as well as models Jada Kai, Heather Harmon, Diego Sans and Ricky Johnson, all sharing their respective 2020 experiences, will be featured. The pandemic created hurdles for people across the globe and has undoubtedly led to one of the largest mental health crises in world history. YouPorn exists in part to help adult entertainment users ease tensions and unwind from daily stressors—and in creating this category, hopes to offer a path to self-care of a different kind. In launching the new category, YouPorn is hoping to inspire a new kind of release by encouraging people to share their experiences from a year filled with lots of highs and lows, much aligned with the mission of BuddyHelp. BuddyHelp is a platform that exists to provide free emotional support during those times that you just need someone to listen to you. This organization matches those in need with trained, volunteer listeners. As the demand for mental health services continues to rise, BuddyHelp has begun offering online courses at its University of Compassion to train more qualified counselors. The funds donated by YouPorn will directly impact the growth of the platform, to help more people in need every day. All contributors must keep their posts consensual and refrain from identifying people in re-tellings without their permission. This partnership comes after the recent announcement of YouPorn’s COVID-19 funding project in which the company donated $50,000 in support of innovative tech and research as people navigate a world post-COVID.
