Alexxxis Allure on Her Kinky Side, Facials & Finding Success

Click here for the digital edition.  LOS ANGELES—A lot of performers come into the adult industry and discover they have kinks they had never even fantasized about, but Alexxxis Allure found her kinky side long before she discovered the camera. The San Diego native’s first journey into the adult industry was rooted in BDSM. She worked for a leather adult toy company and learned a lot about kink. She used to perform as a professional submissive doing live stage shows at kinky club venues and private play parties. It wasn’t until years later that she met her first webmaster and started performing on webcam, eventually shooting her first hardcore porn scene.  That first scene was in 2015 with AVN Hall of Famer Rodney Moore for Daddy Likes 'Em Fatty (Rodnievision), an opportunity brought by her webmaster that she immediately jumped at. It was a good place to start since Moore was way ahead of the game insofar as the now-fashionable performer consent procedures go. “Rodney actually has the most in-depth procedure regarding consent on set that I’ve ever experienced,” says Alllure, who has appeared in four Rodnievision titles, most recently BBW Dream Girls, released earlier this year. “He had me fill out pages of paperwork that listed different sexual acts and fetishes and asked me to rate them on a scale of familiarity and interest. "The options were things like: Haven’t tried it and don’t want to, haven’t tried it and would like to, have tried it and didn’t like it, have tried it and would do it again, love it and do it regularly, etc. Then we went over the packet verbally and discussed his scene ideas until we agreed on a clear, specific list of acts I was enthusiastic to perform that day. He’s even revisited the list and asked for any edits in subsequent scenes over the years. I felt like I had complete control and was very comfortable on set in general. I would love to see more producers adopt this practice instead of just asking for a ‘no’ list.” Like so many, Alexxxis’ work life before getting into the adult industry consisted of 9-to-5 retail and desk jobs. In the few years just prior to entering adult she worked as a pre-school teacher and as a nanny. “I’m also a licensed esthetician!” she says. “My friends like to joke that I both give and receive facials at work.” Since entering the adult industry, Alexxxis has done whatever she wants at work. Initially she was testing things out to see what worked for both her and fans, trying a little of everything: fat fetish, costumes, role play, JOI, femdom, solo masturbation. While today shooting hardcore is more up her alley, she does have a couple fetishes that are still particularly popular. “At this point I mostly prefer to shoot hardcore, but I do still sell a lot of eating clips,” she says. “It’s funny that on the opposite end of the spectrum, my workout videos are also super popular.” She’s had the opportunity to shoot for companies like Hustler and Brazzers and says she would love to see more BBW scenes from big companies in mainstream porn. Those opportunities are increasing as the industry comes around to embracing different body types. It was only a matter of time—the audience has always been there, but the industry has largely kept BBW women segregated to genre-specific lines. As DVDs become less essential, those lines have started to fade away. “BBW has always been at the top of internet porn searches—our fans are the best!” she says. “I think it took mainstream a while to support the genre and BBWs ‘becoming popular’ really went hand-in-hand with body positivity movements.” Despite her success and the increasing acceptance of BBW into “mainstream porn,” she would relish the opportunity to be involved in more kink and BDSM scenes, but she doesn’t get a lot of offers to shoot that type of content. She also wonders if it might be a bit of a shock to her existing audience. “I think my fans are used to me being really sweet and quirky, I don’t think they know how to react to seeing me in more serious situations,” she says. “I would love to play a submissive role and film some leather/kink/BDSM scenes—those are my favorite! It’s something I’ve done more in my personal life than I have on film. But no one really shoots actual BBW kink stuff, it’s something I would have to create on my own. All the major kink sites are still extremely fat-phobic in my opinion.” Whatever direction her career takes in the future, she’s already achieved great success and made a mark. She’s won three trophies at the Biggie Awards, was the 2016 Inked Awards BBW of the Year, and has received three BBW Performer of the Year nominations at the AVN Awards. “I’m proud of myself and my community,” Allure says. “The people who have worked together to get our genre where it is—people like my best friend Eliza Allure pushing the boundaries of what BBW performers have been offered in the past—has been really inspiring. My career has provided me with a great amount of stability and allowed me to be self-sufficient. I see that continuing and look forward to pursuing my dreams outside of the industry, really thriving, living my truth, offering support and mentorship to others.” Photography by Nick Holmes
