Kiarra Kai On Painting, Performing & Road Trippin'

LOS ANGELES—Kiarra Kai tells AVN when she isn’t performing there’s a good chance she’s doing crafts. “I’m super into crafting and doing new, weird things,” Kai says. “I’m a little bit of a hippy. I think I’m going to get a short bus and renovate it to go camping. I love the idea of being able to travel—go on weekend trips and stuff. “And painting the outside [of the bus] with a really cool design.” Now that production is starting to ramp up, the rising star from Florida is balancing her adult work with her art-inspired hobbies. “I’ve been doing one project a week lately,” Kai says.  She created a decorative vine piece that she placed on her couch and she also was in the process of painting the pots in which her plants live this summer. “That’s been something I’m really excited about,” says the 22-year-old performer who has had a passion for art from a young age. “I won a few art competitions when I was younger,” Kai reveals. “It’s very relaxing to me and very soothing. It’s my form of expression, I guess.” Kai recently collaborated with Ashlee Juliet on an exclusive photoshoot in Malibu, where she painted on the beach. The performer/photographer also known as @GlitterFlick captured Kai at Leo Carrillo State Park as the sun went down. “We tried to find somewhere that was a little more flat with a pretty view and we found a little hidden nook,” Kai says. “I knew that I wanted to paint the beach. There wasn’t a lot of people around at all. It was pretty cool.” Kai paints with acrylics “but I kind of treat them like water color.” “It creates a different texture than a regular acrylic painting,” Kai says. “My favorite part about painting is I never really know what’s going to happen. I feel like in painting there is no such thing as mistakes.” Born in California and raised in Orlando, Fla., Kai started her porn career in early 2019 after about a year of getting used to adult work on MyFreeCams. Now represented by ATMLA, Kai had racked up almost 80 credits at press time. “Back in January-February things were really picking up for me,” she says. “I was super excited to work for a couple companies I had been dreaming about working for.” Kiarra already has four scenes for Gamma’s top all-girl site, Girlsway, including threeways with Emma Hix and Vina Sky; and Laney Grey and Jessie Saint. Last week she appeared opposite India Summer in yet another girl/girl hookup. “I’m really into girls,” Kai says. “I’m definitely bisexual. I love girls so much.” Her first-ever scene was with Derrick Ferrari for BangBros’s notorious BangBus, which Kai had been familiar with before porn. “It was very fun. I was a little bit of a fan girl,” she admits. “I was so excited just to be there.” Kai also has appeared more than once on Charles Dera’s alter-ego site, ToughLoveX.com. “Me and Charles are really good friends,” Kai says. “We love doing all the crazy outdoor stuff together. We shot a scene together and then he booked me for ToughLoveX.” She remembers doing six months of research on web-camming before signing up. “I grew up such a nerd and very conservative,” Kai says. “I definitely was out of my element. “I decided to make the jump and I fell in love with it. I remember so clearly the first time I cammed I was so nervous. But I’m kind of an exhibitionist and the moment my top was off I just relaxed.” Kai, who is half Navajo and half Italian/French, before adult was a full-time student for three years, studying computer science, while also working as a receptionist at an engineering firm. Her pre-adult resume also includes being a lifeguard at an Aquatica waterpark in Florida and working at a department store. “I was always very busy and very nerdy,” Kai jokes. “I only have one semester left, so I want to go back to school eventually. I love math and science and I just love computers.” But for now Kai is focused on adult, where she spreads positivity on a daily basis on her lively Twitter and Instagram feeds; she’ll also be unveiling her YouTube channel and celebrating her 23rd birthday in September. “I love my birthday,” Kai says. “I think we’re going to go camping on the beach this year.” Click here for a photo gallery by @GlitterFlick
