Vendo Summarizes COVID-19’s Impact on Subscription Businesses

Vendo, a payment facilitator for e-commerce, recently released an update on the impact COVID-19 has had on subscription businesses over the past four months. The update summarizes the online conference presentation held recently by the organization.

The “data rich presentation” covers the effects of lockdown and rising numbers of infections over the last 30 days. The last month has seen increased traffic, increased conversion and an increase in total members as a result of reduced cancellations. The company forecasts a “new normal” of continued lower cancellation rates among elevated traffic and conversion.

The presentation details COVID-19 effects in the US, Italy, Spain and Sweden. It also includes an overview of countries that have taken a strong track and trace approach including Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and South Korea.

“I love spending time with the team at Vendo. They always have valuable data, insights, and viewpoints that I can’t get elsewhere,” said Andrew H., a Chief Revenue Officer.

Another person added, “For the team at Vendo and myself, we really wanted to somehow re-live the industry conference happy hour vibe, some constructive conversation on key topics, some chit chat between peers and the odd loud-mouth! The key take-away and action triggers for the audience are most definitely the data insights shared, these metrics impact the success and survival of pay-sites and set industry benchmarks. Everyone who attended were super engaged with big smiles all round in the gallery view, that’s a plus for us! We are excited to host the next event mid-September.”

“I really enjoyed participating, it was a good event. And yes, the time went fast! I like the polling and found that helpful. Comparing my experience to the larger group. Might be interesting to follow those up by discussing the disparities in the results. For example, when XX% of the poll felt business was up, what are they doing right and what can the others do to improve their results,” said Andy, a Business Manager.
