International Pole Convention Officially Cancels PoleCon 2020

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Colleen Jolly, the creator and host of the PoleCon conventions, today sent an email to followers/subscribers saying, "It is with heavy heart that I announce PoleCon 2020 in August 2020 is canceled. It is not safe to hold the event at this time. "PoleCon 2021 will be held June 24-27, 2021 at the Sheraton New Orleans. There will be no early bird pricing for 2021 tickets this year to be mindful of those that have paid full price and have transferred or will transfer to 2021." Jolly advised that those who have already laid out funds for admission, workshops and/or trade show tables have two options: • Ask for a refund. • Push your pass and/or your workshop/private credits to the 2021 event. She noted that to do either of those options, the payor "MUST email me directly." Other options are also available, such as moving a pass to 2021 but receiving a refund on workshops/privates. "Performers, exhibitors, volunteers and sponsors should have already received an email with additional information," Jolly stated. "If you did not, please contact me directly." Anyone who has booked a guestroom within the official PoleCon room block at the Sheraton New Orleans should receive an official cancelation email directly from the hotel. If that cancelation email is not received, Jolly advises contacting the hotel directly to cancel the reservation. Those who did not book within the official room block are responsible for canceling their own room reservations. More information about PoleCon 2021 will come in a few months. An updated workshop schedule will be available in January 2021. A virtual PoleCon event will be held in the fall. More information on that will be released next month.
