Kay Brandt Delves Into MMA World With Adam & Eve's 'Body Slam'

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C.—Adam & Eve Pictures has debuted the latest drama from director Kay Brandt, Body Slam, which sees passion unfold at a family-owned mixed martial arts gym. Starring newcomer Febby Twigs as Josie, who was raised in the gym, the story follows her journey as she returns from Thailand, where she ran off to escape her mistakes. Called back to bury her father and deal with the unfinished business she left behind, it's not long before all manner of trysts and hookups ensue, and Josie finds she has jeopardized her future at the gym she came home to save. "Josie was a fun and complex character to play," Twigs said. "It was a raw and authentic performance because I was literally always turned on. In dealing with the death of her father and old flings, Joise wears her heart on her sleeve and her emotions are on full display. This was challenging but intoxicating at the same time.
