Gracie Haze & Hempley Jones Featured in April Issue of CAMStar

LOS ANGELES—Gracie Haze calls her friendship with Hempley Jones “symbiotic,” while Jones describes them as “two peas in a pod.” “I have not met a better friend than Gracie Haze,” Jones says. They log onto MyFreeCams together whenever they can despite living on opposite coasts—Haze is from the Toronto area and Jones resides near Seattle. “Every month or two we try to plan a trip together,” Haze says. “We have done all sorts of fun, crazy and sexy shows. Our first strap-on show together followed by a maple syrup pour is one of my favorites.” “We get down and dirty and laugh in so many ways,” Jones adds. Haze tells AVN she cultivated her following on MFC through “consistency and weed.” “Built a tribe of positive people to encourage and support me,” she says. Jones, meanwhile, says her members keep coming back because “I’m a bit goofy. So I think I collected like-minded, goofy goobs!” In this exclusive interview for CAMStar accompanied by 12 pages of photography by Keith Ryan, Haze and Jones reveal what they like to do away from cam, the meaning behind their favorite tattoos, their most underrated attributes and their advice for new cam girls, among other things. A mutual member had mentioned her and there she was standing beside me so I said hi and from that moment we were one. CS: How did you like being a bartender?  GH: I loved bartending, honestly. It was a fun job that I got to talk to people (mostly guys) all day. I really liked the multi-tasking aspect of it. I was a server first and worked up to bartending. Between it all it was six-plus years in the industry. I was at a Wing Spot for a long time and then an awesome microbrewery where I learned my love for beer. CS: How did you like your job as a massage therapist?  HJ: I loved working as a massage therapist but I felt it was very much giving my body pain to fix theirs. It’s very tough work. I was working as a therapist for five years in the Seattle area! CS: How and when did you get into camming?GH: Two years ago. A friend suggested it.HJ: When I got injured in massage and wanted to buy Christmas presents for friends and family and still pay my bills. CS: How did you develop your camming routine? GH: I’m a night owl, so it happened gradually. But a lot of chill night hangs and most importantly a ton of laughing.HJ: At first I mainly did privates because I didn’t have that many people who wanted to just hang. Once I started to get my crew I started to do fun shows like “Pudding vs. Pussy.” CS: Could you describe what happens during the “Pudding vs. Pussy” shows? HJ: Well I like to do funny things or things I think our funny. Sooo I’ll grab a bunch of items that’s people like to say sounds like pussy. Pudding, mac ’n cheese, oatmeal, eggs—we’ve tried quite a few things. Then I take everything off screen and I either play with my wet pussy or the food. The member then guesses to see if they can tell the difference. Sometimes I mess up and a spoon clanks but usually I’m pretty good at stumping them! CS: What you have you learned about yourself since you started camming? GH: That it's okay to be me! People will love me as me. HJ: I am a grandma and can’t hang late like some can. Being on the West Coast I should be able to make it to midnight… CS: What advice would you give a new cam model trying to establish herself? GH: Be consistent and don't let the numbers get you down. Sometimes it takes a while to "catch on.” HJ: Set your schedule and stick to it!  CS: In reference to your interests outside of camming, what do you mean by “cottage”?   GH: A place most near and dear to my heart, a place that has been in my family for years. It’s a beautiful spot right on the lake; think cabin, but better. I grew up in and on the water thanks to the cottage. I love water sports as well as boats, Sea-Doos, paddle-boards and pretty much anything you can ride on the water. CS: When you go backpacking, do you usually camp out overnight in a tent? HJ: Yesssss. The whole point for me is to get away. I usually spend at least two nights and travel anywhere from 6-15 miles a day. I wanna be awake when the animals are starting to move about. I’ve seen bears, elk, deer right outside my tent. It’s one of my favorite ways to refresh my spirit! CS: What kind of snacks do you typically take in your backpack? HJ: Nuts, fresh fruit, dark chocolate, and various special vitamin fruit snacks, granola!  CS: Name three things that you love… GH: My animals, knowledge, smiles/happiness. HJ: Hiking, weed, sunshine. CS: What kind of animals do you have? GH: Two cats and a dog—all rescues. My dog is a mutt (mix of Rotti, Boxer, German Shepherd, and Border Collie) and she’s the cutest ever! She absolutely loves to play frisbee; meanwhile the cats like to just lay around.  CS: What is your most underrated attribute? GH: Smile. HJ: My eyes. CS: What is something you’re grateful for and why? GH: Friendship, aka Hempley. Literally the best thing/person to come into my life. HJ: I am sooo grateful for Gracie Haze because I don’t think I would have gone to as many events without her. She is such an amazing person and truly cares about the individuals she meets!  CS: In your Twitter bio you say you’re a "maker of delicious treats"…What kind of treats are your specialty? GH: I went to school for pastry and baking arts so I really love to bake everything. It is so soothing and there is nothing better than bringing someone you love fresh baked goods. I don't have a specialty per se, but I know some "fan favs" are my hamburger cupcakes and my Reese's brownies. CS: What is the tattoo on your right thigh and what does it mean to you? GH: It’s an owl named Jeanie. My nan collected owl things so after she passed I took on the tradition. My apartment is full of owls (some say its creepy lol)  CS: What about the tatts on your left forearm and shoulder? GH: Each flower means something different. Some are birth month flowers of my fam; some are flowers that grew in my childhood backyard. The blueberries are for the blueberry bushes that grew in abundance at my cottage; I spent my afternoons in late August picking and snacking on them. CS: What kind of anime is your favorite? GH: My favorite anime's include Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Naruto and Hunter x Hunter. My current anime addiction is Seven Deadly Sins though.  CS: What kind of books do you read? What are you reading right now? GH: I’m a big fan of non-fiction and memoirs. I just finished Homo Deus by Yuval Noah Harari for the second time…He’s my favorite author. I think my next read is Permanent Record—Edward Snowden’s memoir. CS: How often do you do Hot Yoga? GH: I try to go as often as possible (at least a couple times a week) but recently it has been tough because I have been traveling a lot. It helps me to stay both mentally and physically in my best shape. CS: What inspired you to hang off the Jose Rizal bridge naked for a photo? Did anyone catch you? HJ: Honestly, it was the photographer’s idea. Unfortunately, he and I don’t see eye to eye anymore but he is truly great at what he does. I knew I would do it so I said, ‘yes.’ A lot of cops came and I’m sure they thought a naked crazy lady was jumping. I have a video of me driving past the cops on the bridge it was thrilling.  CS: What was your level of fear for doing that? HJ: I had no fear and it was a rainy day. The photographer was more scared than I. CS: What is the tattoo on your right leg and what does it mean to you? What about the one on your right shoulder? HJ: My tattoos are collections of art to me. I’ve always enjoyed body modifications. The tattoo on my right leg is a giant octopus. I’ve always enjoyed how strong and smart and otherworldly they are—kinda like me :)  CS: What’s next for you?  GH: I wish I could tell you. Continue to improve and be a better person. Constantly improving me! HJ: More smiles and laughs and good times with friends!  Photos by Keith Ryan
