Adult Industry COVID-19 Event Cancellations, Postponements and Production Holds

Over the last several days, an increasing number of adult industry events have been either postponed or cancelled and some studios have announced a pause in production in response to concerns over the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus. In addition to posting individual announcements, YNOT will update the list below with newly released announcements as they are received.

This list likely isn’t comprehensive, but it represents all the adult industry cancellations, postponements and production holds of which YNOT is aware at the time of posting. Updated 3/13 to note that in the Free Speech Coalition’s updated Adult Industry COVID-19 advisory the FSC said it is “not yet calling an industry-wide or regional production hold,” adding that while FSC is “in full support of the producers and studios that have suspended production, and encourage others to do the same should they feel it is warranted,” considering the “wide variety of production, including self-produced and custom content, and the lack of a specific COVID-19 risk to performers, we are not yet issuing a blanket ban.” Read the full FSC advisory here.

FanCentro announces cancellation of events until future notice. FanCentro announced Friday morning that they “will not be participating in or holding any events until further notice in order to protect the health and well-being of its influencers, staff, and the adult industry as a whole.”

Kick Ass Pictures Halts Production. Kick Ass Pictures announced Friday morning that it will “halt worldwide production as a precaution to the spread of the COVID-19. As the virus continues to spread Kick Ass Pictures has decided to stop all production worldwide to ensure our performers are safe.”

Events and classes at Good Vibrations canceled/postponed through April. This is per an email from Carol Queen, who also announced that “Writers with Drinks” at the Make-Out Room, previously scheduled for March 14, has been cancelled.

Exxxotica, Chicago postponed. In a statement issued Thursday, Three Expo Events and Exxxotica announced that Exxxotica Chicago, originally scheduled for April 17-19, has been postponed to July 31-August 2.

Transgender Erotica Awards postponed until further notice. In a statement issued Thursday, the TEAs said “With regret, we have to postpone this weekend’s planned TEA events at the Bardot and Avalon. We’ve been monitoring the COVID-19 situation for the last few weeks and had planned to proceed as usual but late last night we saw a statement from Governor Newsom highly recommending canceling events of more than 250 people.”

LAL Expo Las Vegas postponed. LAL Expo organizers have decided to postpone the first US edition of the trade show due to COVID-19 concerns. The show, originally scheduled to happen in Las Vegas, NV from April 9 – 11, has been rescheduled for October. The new show dates are October 4 – 6, 2020.

Girlfriend Films announces production hold. All-girl adult film studio Girlfriends Films has announced a temporary moratorium on filming. The announcement comes following a declaration of global pandemic due to the spread of COVID-19, also known as Coronavirus.

ETO Show postponed until September. The 2020 ETO Show which was due to take place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, England this weekend has been postponed until September 13-14.

Amberly Rothfield moves master class online. Rothfield has announced that her upcoming Master Class, originally to take place in Austin, will instead be virtual, held online on Discord, Saturday, March 21 at 1pm PST/4pm EST.

AW Summit, Romania postponed. “AWSummit has been monitoring the coronavirus/COVID-19 situation closely, ensuring the safety of all exhibitors and visitors to our event is our top priority,” event organizers said in a statement posted to the event’s website. “After careful consideration, AWSummit has made the difficult decision to postpone the event to the end of August 2020.”
