LOS ANGELES—The cam model known as Cosmic Neko enjoys being “the director and full cast of my own show.” “Being the pinnacle for the execution of everything can be stressful at times, but it is all so much more satisfying when things do turn out well!” Cosmic Neko says. And things usually go well when Neko logs on to MyFreeCams, where she has been the master of her own feline-inspired universe since 2015. A former IT specialist who loves video games, cosplay, anime and cats, the flirty Chinese cam star says her fan base—better known as Team Neko—“really came together organically.” “I just tried to be engaging and be myself on cam,” Neko says. “I'm lucky to have gained the support that I have. However, sometimes I suspect people come back to see the kitties.” In this exclusive Q&A for CAMStar accompanied by 12 pages of photography by Keith Ryan, Neko shares her thoughts about outer space, the month of October, her personal growth, her favorite kinds of video games, and what’s next for her, among other things. For some bonus questions, see below: CS: How did you celebrate your cammiversary in July?   CN: I celebrated my cammiversary with my members on cam of course! I ran a raffle, had a new video release every week, and did a handful of girl/girl shows.  What did it mean to you to achieve your highest rank ever on MFC in July 2019? For my cammiversary in July, I was just shooting for top 100. Obtaining rank 12 was ... unexpected, to say the least. It was my first time seriously attempting a run like that. The amount of support I received from fans was much more than I anticipated and made me really excited and eager to try out new things for cam. What girl/girl shows did you do for your cammiversary? How ‘naughty’ do you tend to get in your g/g shows? I worked with a handful of girls I am friends with for July. What we do in a girl/girl show typically depends on who I'm working with, but the sky's the limit! The content of our shows would range from making out, nude teases, oral or penetration.  How do you use MFCShare?  I use MFCShare to create clubs for events, polls for my room, and upload content. What have been some of your more popular MFCShare video clips? Hard to say, since I don't make content myself very often. However, for the first time this July, I made four new videos to celebrate! I’ve received lots of promising comments about them.  What was the inspiration for your cammiversary videos and what were they? My 2019 cammiversary vids were: “Nurse Blowjob,” “Bathtub Beautiful Agony,” “Girlfriend Experience Skype Call,” and my "First Fuck Machine” video. The inspiration to make them was from my members—through suggestions and some discussion—we finally arrived at those four. What advice would you give a new cam model trying to establish herself? Some advice I’d give a new cam model is do not be too discouraged when things don't work out as well as you want them to. I'm not saying it doesn't feel bad or to just get over it. Everyone started from somewhere and in my opinion, the important thing is to not dwell on it. Realistically, not every idea is going to work or be executed well the first time. Sometimes things just need some time to gain some traction. As long as you have a genuine interest in what you're doing, you'll generate excitement in others.  Which games are your favorite to play and why? MMO’s is the genre I’ve probably spent the most total time playing. The biggest reasons why are because of the community and competitive nature of the games. Every game has some kind of objective, but how long can you stay completing the same objectives before it gets tiresome? In MMO’s it’s easy to make friends because we all already have something in common—the enjoyment of the game. With the possibility of also being able to fight with and against your friends, it’s even better.  What’s an example of an MMO that you love playing? For the last four years, I've played Black Desert Online regularly. It’s a Korean MMO with an amazing action-combat system that is so fluid it’s addicting. In turn, a game with an amazing combat system also has amazing PvP, which brings never ending fun >:].  What do you like most about One Piece? Although the art style isn't the best, once you get into the story, you suddenly find yourself immersed and engaged with the characters. Almost every episode leaves you in anticipation, so you have to watch “just one more.” What’s your favorite strain of weed? Not sure if it's the real strain name cause it wasn't mine but I once smoked what someone told me was Louis Vuitton. I only took one hit the entire night and I was high for probably too long—hours lol.  What kind of music do you like? Do you have any favorite bands or musical artists?   My favorite albums to listen to are video game soundtracks. Most of the music from games are instrumental which makes them easy to listen to and keep me focused.  What’s an example of a game soundtrack that you like? Divinity: Original Sin has one of the best soundtracks from any game I’ve personally played. I found myself humming some of tracks later in the day without realizing where it was from, and I didn’t realize where it came from until I went to play the game later. Who is your celebrity crush? I'm pretty uncultured about that kind of stuff. Celebrities, movies, and shows aren't something I keep track of or follow, but I’m always happy to watch something new! I often hear from my members of what things they’re watching and what they recommend.  What’s your favorite kind of food or dish? My favorite kinds of foods are Asian, particularly noodle dishes. Although, I do also love Thai curries. I think the best thing is getting freshly made noodles.   Do you do any photography or videography now? Do you dabble in it? I've done a bit of photography for others models. It's a lot more fun for me to take pictures or videos of other people than myself. It seems like everyone is so keen at seeing all their flaws, especially in pictures of themselves. So I find the idea of capturing how they look through my eyes and showing them how great they look very gratifying. What other hobbies do you have when you're not working? Majority of my time is spent usually on stuff for cam or cam related activities and video games. However, I do also spend time taking care of my two cats, going to the gym and hiking.
