Erotic Heritage Museum Serves Up 'Dirty Jokes and Whiskey'

LAS VEGAS, Nev.—The Erotic Heritage Museum is serving up A Life of Dirty Jokes and Whiskey: The Musical, marking the first time the sex-positive museum has hosted a “musical residency.” The show will be performed at 3:30 p.m. beginning tomorrow and running through Saturday in the museum's Jewel Box Theatre. The 90-minute comedy tells the story of the Lawrence brothers, their friends, family and indiscretions, all infused with dirty jokes and whiskey. Based on a book about “the real-life debauchery of Ricky Lawrence ... an American comedian who has traveled the backroads of comedy for years." This character purportedly appeared in two of the most celebrated last episodes in American sitcom history: He piloted "Hawkeye" away in the last shot of the long-running M*A*S*H series and also played the man who knocked at the closed door just as Ted Danson's "Sam Malone" character on Cheers yelled, "Sorry we're closed." “Vegas' cultural life has become so rich and diverse over the past decade," says Victoria Hartmann, the director of the Erotic Heritage Museum. “We feel our daytime musical will only add to that diversity while presenting a bawdy and fun option for travelers not just looking for mainstream fare." To contact the Erotic Heritage Museum, including location rental inquiries, workshop rates, upcoming events and more, email [email protected] or visit EroticMuseumVegas.com. The EHM may also be followed on Twitter and Facebook at Facebook, where an interactive Events Calendar shares all upcoming events and information on how to purchase tickets.
