ASACP Names Michael Klein to Executive Board

LOS ANGELES – The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) announced today that it has named adult industry veteran Michael H. Klein to its Executive Board.

Klein is the founder of and CEO of Next Step Entertainment, a “consultancy that specializes in maximizing revenue return for products and services within the broadcasting and internet world.” He has previously served as President of LFP Inc./Hustler, President of Broadcasting and Internet for Vivid and Head of Broadcasting & Licensing for Gamma Entertainment. Klein has also held executive positions at Showtime, iN Demand, Playboy, On Command Video and Vubiquity.

“I truly admire the work that ASACP is doing to try to prevent a horrible problem that still exists today,” Klein said. “Hopefully, working with other top professionals in our industry that I respect, I can contribute to bringing more awareness of the issues of child exploitation and all that we can do to try to stop it.”

ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning said the organization relies on the contributions of time, energy and expertise offered by industry leaders like Klein.

“Michael has worked for some of the biggest brands in adult entertainment and has a broad experience of the global issues surrounding digital content distribution and the importance of corporate compliance with international regulations and partner policies,” Henning said. “As the newest member of our Executive Board, Michael is sure to help guide ASACP forward in an ever-changing digital media landscape.”

ASACP board member Brad Mitchell, Founder and CEO of MojoHost, said he’s thrilled to have Klein join the organization’s Executive Board.

“Michael’s unparalleled integrity and commitment to our industry combined with decades of experience delivering responsible adult entertainment online make him a perfect fit and I am excited to see what we can accomplish together,” Mitchell said. “Furthering ASACP’s mission of protecting missing and exploited children is near and dear to all of our hearts and professionally rewarding. Lots of good mojo all-around.”

In its statement announcing Klein’s appointment to the board, ASACP said the support it receives from its members and sponsors enables it to “continue its 23-year record of success and to provide a range of educational and informational resources for responsible companies, including market-specific Best Practices and a universal Code of Ethics for online businesses, app publishers and operators of age-restricted websites.”
