Wicked's 'Captain Marvel XXX: An Axel Braun Parody' Debuts on DVD

LOS ANGELES—After its digital release in time for awards season consideration at the end of September, Captain Marvel XXX: An Axel Braun Parody is making its DVD debut.  Even before awards season began, the big-budget parody was sparking fan interest. The unveiling of the SFW trailer on social media ignited excitement, with audiences viewing the two-minute YouTube spot more than 600,000 times in two weeks, which Wicked Pictures asserts is the fastest fan response to any of director Axel Braun’s parodies. The movie is already topping sales charts, including the No. 1 position on Adult Empire’s Trending Videos index. Critics and audiences have praised the movie’s production value and costumes, especially Kenzie Taylor’s portrayal of Carol Danvers. Mainstream pop culture site Nerdrotic praised Taylor for creating “a Captain Marvel we can get behind.” The Quartering paid tribute both to Taylor’s talent and Braun’s commitment to diversity by declaring the film “a XXX version of Captain Marvel that not only has a more likable main character but manages to stay more true to the comic and be more inclusive.” Fleshbot summed up the feelings of many when it crowned Captain Marvel XXX “doubtlessly, the porn parody of the year.” “This is so awesome!” Braun said. “The response from fans and critics has been absolutely incredible, and it’s the greatest reward for the months of hard work that myself and my cast and crew poured into this project. Released under the Wicked Comix imprint, Braun's take on Captain Marvel drew fans as soon as it became available on streaming platforms. The gatefold-sleeve package includes the feature presentation on the first disc, while the second disc contains ten bonus sex scenes, a variety of hardcore trailers and other content exclusive to the physical release. This project is Braun's first parody to reach fans since his AVN Award-winning Deadpool XXX scooped up multiple honors at the 2019 AVN Awards Show. In addition to Taylor's key performance as Carol Danvers, the cast includes Ana Foxxx as Monica Rambeau, transgender superstar Aubrey Kate as the Supreme Intelligence and Seth Gamble putting in a comic turn as Deadpool. Braun has called Captain Marvel XXX the crowning achievement of his career, as well as the genre’s first big-budget parody/star showcase hybrid, as Taylor performs in all six of the film’s sex scenes.
