Congrats, Black-TGirls.com! You're Now 20 Years Old!

LOS ANGELES—It may seem hard to believe, but Grooby, the company that specializes in all things transgender, reached a milestone this past week: the 20th anniversary of its website, Black-TGirls.com, dedicated to t-girls of color.  "Just over 20 years ago, we looked at splitting Grooby Girls (or 'Shemale Yum' as it was then known) into two sites, as the requests for more and more black content were building," explained Grooby's founder, Steven Grooby. "In those days we were still shooting on film with no video, and each week was a fight to find new models. In those early internet days, it was a struggle to find new talent, with producers having to scour local personals papers, or trawl the streets looking for potential models. It made both logical and economical sense to separate the sites, and come up with a new brand of 'Black-Tgirls.com'.” Black Tgirls features more than 1400 unique models and its alumni included stars such as Kayla Coxx, Natassia Dreams, Sexxy Jade, Megan Snow, Victoria Porsche and many more. Trans celebrity TS Madison (self-branded as the "Big Dick Bitch") debuted there, as did some models who have gone on to mainstream media success. Producers in 1999 included Tony Vee, The Commander, Video Bob and Vegas Bob—and in 2019, the lineup is mainly Kila Kali, Radius Dark, Jack Flash, Omar Wax and Buddy Wood who shoot content across the USA. Grooby stated, "Black-Tgirls has been pretty much the only platform for black trans adult content for 20 years. I think it's a travesty how few black performers get to work for other companies and projects, considering the amount of talent out there. I'm a huge fan of the site and the girls; it's a privilege to be able to work with so many, to be able to provide a platform to showcase these gorgeous women and to be able to use that platform to also educate and promote on trans issues and inclusion. I'd like to thank all the models, the producers and the supporters who have been able to keep this site at the forefront of trans erotica over the last two decades, and I look forward to continuing to grow in the future years."
