Fresh Faces: Anne Amari

The Fort Lauderdale native, now 24, dreamed of dancing professionally in high school. “I wanted to get into go-go dancing, but you had to be 21, so I just kind of waited. I got into a really good dance company called Dhangra, in Miami.” But after dancing for a while, “I kind of got bored of it so I went to Miami Expo and I just asked around. ... And then I just kind of did my research and got into it [porn].” It was in Miami that she did her first porn scene, with Duncan Saint, for Digital Playground. “I’m with ATMLA now so I kind of moved out here just to see how this [L.A.] is from shooting in Florida. Here it’s more production.” That’s what she likes about it. “I want to do the acting part of it. Real good acting can be amazing. I want to get into that.” One highlight so far was working for Wicked Pictures in Axel Braun’s Brown Sugar 3 opposite Ramon Nomar. “That was fun. I really enjoyed that. It’s cool.” She likes working in porn because “I get to show the sexual side of myself. When I was dancing I was, like, covering myself. I don’t know ... it’s just not me. I like to be naked.” Besides dancing, she enjoys “tennis, water sports ... I like being outside a lot, outdoors in nature. Running track for a little bit. I like art sometimes.” She does both boy/girl and girl/girl but says, “I like boy-girl better.” Recent partners include Steve Holmes, Jay Smooth and Louie Smalls.
