Braun Aims at Mainstream With SFW 'Captain Marvel XXX' Trailer

LOS ANGELES—It's a double-header news day for fans of Axel Braun, who get to see the safe-for-work trailer and revel in the news that the Wicked Comix movie features the return of Seth Gamble's award-winning Deadpool impersonation. In addition to the official safe-for-work trailer, the entire Captain Marvel XXX: An Axel Braun Parody movie is now available online. The big-budget parody's September 30 online debut was followed by a mid-week social media unveiling of the action-packed SFW trailer. Fans responded wth praise for the trailer’s production value and costumes, as well as Braun’s directorial panache and Kenzie Taylor’s portrayal of Carol Danvers, which remains faithful to the comic book original. For his 60th parody, director Braun pulled out all the stops and delivered the Captain Marvel that fans deserve: snarky, sassy, sexy. In addition to Taylor's star-making performance as Carol Danvers (read more here) and the painstakingly detailed costumes, the movie boasts a supporting cast led by Ana Foxxx as Monica Rambeau and transgender superstar Aubrey Kate as the Supreme Intelligence. It's clear Braun intends to make Captain Marvel XXX a crowning achievement to his AVN Award-studded career.  “It’s awesome to see so many people reacting so positively to the movie,” said Braun, “It’s an outpouring of love that validates all the hard work we put into this project, and all the credit goes to Kenzie. She inhabited the character as if it were a second skin, and showed not only an outstanding level of professionalism but also some incredible acting range. Being able to do comedy and drama equally well is not something that many actors can master, but Kenzie managed to deliver a performance that showcased her ability to do both while staying true to the character. She absolutely owns this role, and I am just happy that I was able to capture her epic awesomeness!” Taylor is quick to reciprocate the praise: "I am so beyond honored to have had a chance to work alongside the one and only Axel Braun. A four-time AVN Award winner for Best Soundtrack, Braun tapped Lennon, who is a trained opera singer, to sing the movie's theme song “Asses,” a parody version of Celine Dion’s theme from Deadpool 2. And speaking of Deadpool, a hilarious clip at the end of the trailer revealed that Braun also managed to get reigning AVN Best Actor Seth Gamble to reprise his iconic role, much to the delight of comic fans everywhere. “After the success of Deadpool XXX, and the fantastic performance Seth delivered in it, I’ve been looking for any excuse to bring the character back,” Braun said. “Once I started writing Captain Marvel XXX I quickly realized there was a perfect opportunity for the Merc With a Mouth to be involved, and Seth was more than happy to wear the costume again, despite the scorching heat and the long hours. Saying that he was phenomenal would be an understatement ... we literally had to do dozens of takes just because the entire cast and crew kept cracking up, and his three-way with Kenzie and Lacy Lennon is one of the best sex scenes I’ve ever shot. I cannot say enough good things about Seth Gamble, he’s the best actor in the industry and a terrific performer who has always delivered for me. I mean, he’s been Luke Skywalker, Captain Boomerang, Mr. Hyde, Deadpool ... I dare anybody to pull off characters so diverse and to bring his level of commitment and consistency to an adult set. He is also a very close friend of mine, so he not only trusts and understands my vision, but he's also able to bring to the table ideas that perfectly integrate with it.
