British TV Hosts Reveal Threats Ahead Of Stormy Daniels Interview

In August of 2018, at the height of her legal battle with Donald Trump, AVN Hall of Famer Stormy Daniels accepted—and then suddenly rejected—an invitation to appear on the British version of the reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother. As controversy swirled around her abrupt cancellation, after she went as far as to fly to London and show up on the Big Brother set, Daniels appeared on the British interview show Loose Women to explain herself, as AVN.com reported at the time.  Now, the hosts of that program—a female-oriented daytime talk show similar to The View in the United States—have revealed what took place behind the scenes as they prepared for the high-profile Daniels interview.  "It was the most intense of live television behind the scenes,” co-host Nadia Sawalha said, as quoted by The Mirror newspaper.  “It was insane, wasn't it?” When Daniels pulled out of her Celebrity Big Brother commitment, reports immediately swept through the British press claiming that Daniels had demanded an increased fee for appearing on the show, which was reportedly almost one million dollars—a record for a celebrity on the show, according to The Telegraph newspaper.  The reports also claimed that Daniels had acted in an “abusive” fashion toward the show’s staff. Daniels denied both allegations in her Loose Women interview. “None of us knew what to expect,” co-host Kaye Adams said this week, as quoted by Britain’s Metro newspaper. "Because the whole story of this hardball porn star and she had a business doing that so what was she going to be like? She was very very frank, wasn’t she?” The shows’ hosts revealed that Daniels wavered until the last minute before deciding to go ahead with the interview, as lawyers phoned the show from the United States making “threats,” the nature of which the show’s hosts did not specify. As the legal negotiations dragged on prior to the show, Daniels sat with the hosts and proceeded to tell them her story, they now say. “She was just telling us everything!
