Program Error Prompts Recall of Aneros Vice 2

HOUSTON—Aneros has issued a voluntary recall of its new Vice 2 hands-free prostate massager. “We regret to announce a voluntary recall for the Vice 2 after discovering a manufacturing defect which reduces functionality,” said Brent Aldon, director of sales and marketing. “We are committed to providing the full experience Vice 2 was intended to offer, and we’re doing everything in our power to make sure our customers are satisfied.” The vibrating prostate massager poses no safety risk, but a manufacturing defect reduces its ability to perform certain functions. Aneros engineers found the defect on some of the Vice 2 massagers, which causes a number of the product’s 18 vibration patterns to operate at one speed only.   Customers are encouraged to return the Vice 2 to Aneros by visiting https://www.aneros.com/vice-2-recall or emailing [email protected] to request a prepaid shipping label (return shipping is free to the customer). Customers who purchased the Vice 2 from the Aneros website may ask for a refund or a warranty exchange for a replacement unit. Replacement units will be shipped to customers in September 2019. The entire Vice 2 set (device, remote, and charging cable) must be returned to receive a refund, which will be issued upon receipt of the product. For warranty exchanges, only the device (excluding remote and charging cable) need be returned. Device-only exchanges will be accepted when Vice 2 replacements are available in September and will be shipped within 3-5 business days of receipt of the defective unit. Vice 2 purchases from authorized Aneros retailers will be eligible for a warranty exchange only. Customers may email[email protected] with proof of purchase when Vice 2 replacements are available in September to request a prepaid shipping label. “We apologize to all of our customers for any inconvenience this may have caused and we appreciate their patience as we continue to resolve this issue,” Aldon added.
