Study Links Cannabis to More, Longer Orgasms in Women

The link between sexual pleasure and cannabis use has always been a subject of much debate, with many cannabis users swearing it makes sex better. Now, a new partnership between luxury women’s vape company Bae and smart-vibrator makers Lioness has taken aim specifically at the link between cannabis and sexual climax.

In a recent study, the companies gifted Bae vapor pens and Lioness vibrators to seven influencers who volunteered to participate in the study. The volunteers then used the Lioness with and without having lit up with the vape pen, and let the data it collected do the talking. It said that there’s definitely a link between cannabis and orgasm in these cis women.

“Cannabis used during masturbation increased orgasm duration by over half a minute,” the companies stated in a press release. That’s more than a thirty second difference. Survey participants were also far more likely to achieve multiple orgasms under the influence of cannabis. “Over 70% reached multiple orgasms while high, vs. less than 30% while sober,” the study concluded. And, perhaps unsurprisingly, the masturbation sessions in question were so enjoyable that study volunteers spent over a minute more pleasuring themselves while lit than while sober.

“It was fascinating to be part of this project,” said volunteer and relationship coach Ashley Manta. “I feel like I’ve learned so much about my body and I’m excited to keep learning.”

This study about pleasure and ganja comes amidst a growing awareness that the two pair well. Products combining sex and cannabis have proliferated in recent years, with cannabis-infused personal lubricants and other intimate products growing in popularity. There’s even a new vape pen on the market that doubles as a vibrator. More studies on the subject have been establishing a data-backed connection between taking a puff and mind-blowing sex in recent years.

Of course, this is a very small study, and its findings may not play out on a larger scale. But the data collected shows such an overwhelming trend toward better orgasms under the influence that we at YNOT find the connection noteworthy, to say the least. What do you think?
