Lisa Ann to Debate Porn at London’s Oxford Union on Thursday

LONDON, UK—Veteran adult industry performer/director Lisa Ann has been invited to speak at the legendary Oxford Union in London, England on Thursday, June 13, for a star-studded debate on pornography. The program will begin at 8:30 p.m. The Oxford Union is home to the world's most prestigious debating society, with an unparalleled reputation for bringing international guests and speakers to Oxford. It is approaching its 200th anniversary, and as always, it is aiming to promote debate and discussion not just in Oxford University, but across the globe. The announced topic of the debate will be, "This House Believes That Porn has a Place in Sex Education: With over 60% of young people today turning to pornography in search of information on sexual activity that they are not taught in school, we can no longer consider it as taboo. Can pornography offer important educational benefits to teenagers, helping to develop their emerging sexual identities? Or, rather, does it only offer an unrealistic version of sexuality that contributes to dangerous misconceptions about sexual pleasure?" Lisa will be debating with: * Dr. Christian Jessen, known for presenting a variety of health and fitness-oriented TV shows, from "Embarrassing Bodies" to "Supersize vs Superskinny." Jessen is a practicing doctor and TV personality. * Dr. Ruth Westheimer, the world-renowned German-American sex therapist, media personality and author. She began her career in 1980 with a radio show called Sexually Speaking, which continued until 1990. * Anja Rubik, one of the most successful supermodels of the past few decades. Rubik has starred in a plethora of fashion campaigns. Her campaign #sexedpl aims to raise awareness about sexual education despite opposition from the Polish government. * Maggie Atkinson, who served as the UK's Children’s Commissioner from 2010 to 2015. Atkinson is a member of the Department of Health’s Children and Young People’s Health Outcomes Forum. “I am honored to be invited to be a part of this debate at the Oxford Union and speak with this caliber of esteemed figures,” said Lisa Ann. “I have to admit meeting Dr. Ruth is quite an honor in itself.” Those interested may follow the Oxford Union on its website and on social media on Facebook, on Instagram and on Twitter.
