CamSoda Job Post Seeks Applicants Who Ejaculate 5 Times Per Day

CYBERSPACE—A job listing that was rejected by such popular employment sites as Monster.com and The New York Times comes with a unique list of qualifications, but the bottom-line of the posting, as described by Forbes.com, is that the camming site CamSoda is looking for someone, specifically a male, who can masturbate to orgasm five times per day—for which the company is offering a salary of $69,000 per year. “CamSoda’s looking to hire a guy to jerk it!” announces the headline on CamSoda’s site.   “Like watching porn? Want to do it for a living and get handsomely rewarded for it?” the listing asks, going on to explain that the job consists of anonymously logging in to view performances by the site’s cam performers, and submitting reviews based on “key performance metrics.” Those metrics may include “quality of orgasm, ability to talk dirty, use of toys and time to ejaculation,” which at least partly seems to put the reviewer in the position of critically evaluating his own masturbation session.  Forbes writer Curtis Silver asked the site if the job offer was a serious one, saying, “I can't tell if this is a real job or simply an attempt at cheeky press, or both.” But site VP Daryn Parker assured Silver that CamSoda was completely on the level. "While some people may perceive this job posting cheeky in nature, I can assure you it is completely legitimate and that we at CamSoda are looking to fill this position with a qualified candidate ASAP," Parker told Forbes.com. "Just like any other site—Amazon, etc.—it’s important that reviews/ratings are readily available. We want to provide our users with the best bang for their buck.” He also said that the reviews will hold CamSoda models “accountable for their performances.” Forbes.com criticized the ad not only for appearing to be exclusively aimed at men, but for failing to be “phrased and framed in a way that was professional enough to appeal to the type of candidate of any gender identification that CamSoda is likely looking for.” But even with those caveats, Silver wrote, the existence of a professional quality control job could be an overall asset to the adult industry as a whole. “This could be a game changing position in the business of cam modeling," he wrote. “There could easily be KPIs and quality assurance modeling that could be built around the business of cam modeling to assist cam models in running more efficient and profitable businesses.” Photo By nishidaryuichi / Wikimedia Commons
