Danny Trejo’s Giddy for New ED Device

LOS ANGELES—Famed character actor Danny Trejo, who also enjoys success as a restaurateur, has taken on a new role: as spokesman for Giddy, a device designed to help men with erectile dysfunction issues. Developed by a team of urologists, ED specialists, mathematicians and engineers, Giddy is currently being crowdfunded through a campaign on Indiegogo. Trejo appears in a pitch video on the campaign alongside Shan Boodram, a certified sexologist who also serves as a spokesperson for the wearable Giddy—an FDA Class II medical device. But Trejo isn’t the only famous face in the video: It also features cameos from model Tess Holiday, world class athlete Jason Rogers, and Real Housewives of Orange County star Gina K. Though it’s not clear in the pitch video if Trejo has ever dealt with ED issues, he did have words about it when a camera crew from gossip site TMZ caught up with Taco Man Trejo in Hollywood, Calif. Trejo gushed about the company and the product, and explained how he got involved with the company. (“They asked me,” he said.) “And if you don’t admit to having ED, you’re lying, ’cause we’re all guys,” he said. “I know it ... I’m calling you a liar.” Whether it’s the inclusion of celebrity spokespeople or not, the Giddy has others in the pleasure products industry taking notice. “Medically I think the Giddy erectile dysfunction device is a sound idea. They are using blood flow restriction in an ergonomic design. Sort of like a cock ring with an additional purpose,” said Ken Melvoin-Berg, sex educator and sexual health and wellness expert. “I go to a lot of BDSM dungeon parties, orgies and sexy-time adventures, and there are times when a 50-year-old man's penis doesn't behave in the way I want it to. As a professional sex educator, I know and teach that blood flow restriction is the first line of defense in battling ED. I haven't used this product yet and we don't give blind endorsements, but I fail to see how the Giddy couldn't work.” The Giddy’s Indiegogo campaign has been active a little more than a week, and has already earned more than $22,000 toward its $25,000 goal.
