Save the Bees: Pornhub Raises Awareness with 'Beesexual' Channel

The “Beesexual” campaign, launched on Tax Day, is a new channel on the site that will "help save the dwindling bee population." Browsers on the Beesexual channelcan peruse “bee porn,” or short videos of foraging bees featuring voiceover cameos by well-known adult stars. As part of the campaign, Pornhub will make donations to Operation Honey Bee and the Center for Honeybee Research.  According to a Pornhub press release, "more than 700 North American bee species are headed toward extinction. This alarming trend has only increased at breakneck speed over the past couple of years as species are precipitously declining due to habitat loss and increased pesticide use. This poses a serious threat to global agriculture as pollinators help sustain agricultural production. In fact, it has been estimated that over $235 billion worth of annual food production relies heavily on the contribution of bees.” Corey Price, VP of Pornhub, further explained, “Bees play a major part in making our food. The most important thing that bees do is pollinate. Pollination is needed for plants to reproduce, and so many plants depend on bees as pollinators. Unfortunately however, bees are facing a precarious situation and struggling for survival. With over 110 million daily visitors, we thought our users could come together to lend a helping hand and help conserve this precious species. It’s our duty to ensure bees continue to fornicate and pollinate.” Pornhub partnered with French advertising agency BETC on the project. The campaign is explained by Abella Danger in an informational video, and content on the “Beesexual” channel features voiceover cameos by many adult performers, including Brett Rossi, Julia Ann, Daya Knight, Olivia Austin, Joanna Angel, Dante Colle, Domino Presley, Will Pounder, Avery Black and Charlotte Stokely. It's all pretty entertaining stuff and worth a look. “It means the world to us to be able to work with BETC and Pornhub to help spread bee awareness and share common goals in this effort. This aligns with our ultimate desire to help be a part of something truly amazing,” said John Baxter, founder of Operation Honey Bee. “We understand something of this magnitude doesn’t come often, and we realize how important it is for everyone involved.
