ExoGroup to Supply Age Verification Technology to Webmasters

BARCELONA, Spain—ExoGroup, the digital technology enterprise business group, has announced that it is making a significant investment in the development of age verification technology. The technology will be marketed under the brand name AgeGO. The AgeGO platform was developed as a technology solution for the forthcoming The Digital Economies Act 2017 from the UK government, which should come into force in Q2 of this year. The law requires commercial websites showing +18 content that target UK traffic to verify each UK user's age before allowing them access to the content on the website. When a user visits a website, the technology enables the website to insert a fully responsive ‘own brand’ pop-up widget that requests that the user chooses an approved method of age verification such as passport, driving license, mobile phone, credit card, etc. The whole verification process takes just a few seconds and once the end user's proof of age is verified, the end user can then see the website’s content. The process is fully GDPR compliant and no user data is stored. For website publishers, integration of AgeGO verification technology is as simple as copying and pasting a script of code into their website. Additionally, publishers are provided with transparent real-time statistics available via AgeGO's dashboard. AgeGO will have the largest industry reach and will be certified by the BBFC.
