Avenatti Client Julie Swetnick Connects Kavanaugh to Gang Rape

Michael Avenatti, best known as the lawyer for AVN Hall of Famer Stormy Daniels, released the name of a client, Julie Swetnick, who accuses Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of repeated sexual misconduct, includng a gang rape in which she was the victim, according to a post on Avenatti’s Twitter account Wednesday morning.  The allegations are the third on-the-record sexual assault-related allegations against Kavanaugh, and appear to be the most explosive so far. In her affidavit, which she has submitted under oath, Swetnick says that in 1982 she was drugged at a party and raped by multiple boys. While she did not allege that Kavanaugh was among the boys who raped her, as USA Today reported, she does say that Kavanaugh was “present” as she was gang raped. “During the incident I was incapacitated without my consent and unable to fight off the boys raping me,” Swetnick wrote in the affidavit posted by Avenatti. “I believe I was drugged using Quaaludes or something similar placed in what I was drinking.” Though Swetnick does not name Kavanaugh as one of her rapists, she says that sometime in 1981 or 1982, she “became aware” that Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge made “efforts” to spike punch at house parties with drugs or grain alcohol “to cause girls to lose their inhibitions and their ability to say ‘No.’” Swetnick is reported to be 55 years old, two years older than Kavanaugh, and according to NBC News a 1980 graduate of Gaithersberg High School in Maryland. “She has has held multiple work clearances for work done at the Treasury Department, U.S. Mint, IRS, State Department and Justice Department, among others,” CNBC reported in its account of the Swetnick affidavit. Kavanaugh, according to NBC News, said that the incidents described by Swetnick “never happened,” and are “from the Twilight Zone." A lawyer for Judge said that Kavanagh’s high school friend “vehemently denies the allegations contained in the Swetnick affidavit,” according to CNBC.  Swetnick also said that she was aware of other, apparently similar incidents involving Kavanaugh and Judge. "I have a firm recollection of seeing boys lined up outside rooms at many of these parties waiting for their 'turn' with a girl inside the room,” she says in the affidavit, as reported by CBS News. “These boys included Mark Judge and Brett Kavanaugh."
